Avec l'entrée de ses jumeaux à l'école, Debbie Maddox, maman de 33 ans, a enfin du temps libre. Elle se retrouve dès lors propulsée dans un monde peuplé de personnages excentriques, voire idiots. Improbable "sauveuse" d'une dimension complètement extravagante, sa mission serait d'empêcher les forces obscures de prendre l'avantage. Guère aidée par des chevaliers incompétents, saura-t-elle accomplir la prophétie et revenir à temps dans le monde réel, avant la sortie de l'école ?
