L’histoire de cette nouvelle adaptation signée Madhouse nous entraine un an après la mort de Jean Grey et après que l’organisation des X-Men est été dissoute.Cependant, Hisako Ichiki (Armor), une collégienne mutante vivant au nord-est du Japon est portée disparue. C’est alors que le fondateur des X-Men, le Professeur X convoque à nouveau son équipe dispersée au quatre coins du monde.Une fois réunis, les X-Men se rendent au Japon où ils devront faire face aux U-Men (groupe de supers vilains).
