Ayu (Aya Ueto), une jeune femme au fort caractère vient de se marier avec un homme divorcé (Yo Oizumi), malgré une différence d'âge de 12 ans et de provenance (elle a grandi à la mer alors que lui en pleine ville), ce dernier a également un fils de 5 ans avec sa première femme. Pendant que Ayu et son mari ont leurs désaccord à la maison, cette dernière a aussi des disputes avec certaines personnes de l'extérieur, comme par exemple de mères de jeunes enfant allant à la même école maternelle que le fils de son mari.

Tetsu insists that he goes to a local public school, but Yuki wants to go to school with his crush, Uematsu Riko (Koide Chisaka).
