Épisode 1 - Episode 1

13 janvier 2015

South Londoner Troy may look like an ordinary 25 year old - but don't let his unassuming manner fool you - he is one of the UK's most impressive magicians. We find Troy in a Camden vintage store handling some very expensive glasses - and messing with the mind of a shop assistant, who has no idea he is being filmed. Fancying a bite to eat, he heads over to Camden Stables where he comes across a group of girls and challenges them to a chopsticks competition with a difference, leaving them baffled and bewildered. Next, he decides to see whether fortune cookies can really tell the future as he makes a Chinese food stall worker chose a cookie to open – with astounding results. Heading home on the bus to Lewisham, Troy can't resist the temptation of tricking the bus driver with a unique way of presenting his Oyster Card and uses his talents to help a passenger and her mom get off the bus. After playing tricks on his family at home, Troy pops in to his local barbers for more mystifying mischief. From the many that grace his arms, it's immediately obvious that Troy likes tattoos. Thinking of another, he drops in on his local tattoo studio and chooses a novel way of selecting his next one while making someone else think twice about the back tattoo he was thinking of. Out and about in East London Troy meets a group of girls in a pub who have just had their photo taken in the photo booth. They initially regret giving him their picture when he destroys it but are stunned when the photo reappears with Troy in it. And it's not just those girls who get more than they bargained for as Troy goes speed dating with some superbly surprising results and later shocks some tourists with a stunning selfie souvenir. As the first episode approaches its finale, a spectacular stunt looms. Troy is a great believer in 'one good deed deserves another' so when a passerby offers to give Troy the £5 (5 Pounds) he's asked to borrow, he repays him in a way he and other lucky passers-by will never, ever forget.

Épisode 2 - Episode 2

20 janvier 2015

In the second episode, Troy continues his magical mission and kicks things off in his favourite Shisha Bar. Chatting to two girls who have no idea of his hidden talents, Troy initially seems to break their shisha pipe before quickly restoring it – much to the girls' astonishment – before using the smoke to smash an upturned wine glass leaving them speechless. En route to watch his favourite football team Arsenal, Troy can't resist doing a prediction trick on the bus before heading to the pub where he plays a cruel caper on a stunned Arsenal fan by changing the badge on his shirt to the Spurs— with the slight of his hand. He then goes on to impress a bunch of friends with a trick involving a betting slip and a cigarette. Can Troy actually predict the outcome of the match? You bet he can, and he does! Next, he heads to the comic book store where he leads a mortified member of the staff to believe that he has ripped a very rare, first edition of Dandy worth £15,000 (roughly 22, 700 American dollars!). But all is not as it seems as he repairs it on touch – much to the shop workers overwhelming relief. Troy's trickery there isn't over as he catches a comic fanatic out when he acquires the superhuman powers of a superhero taken from the pages of a comic strip. As the temperature heats up in London, Troy grabs his mates for a road trip to the seaside to cool down. At the beachfront in Bournemouth, he takes to the arcades and gives a holidaymaker much more than she bargained for when he deposits her watch through the glass and inside a penny coin machine, before emptying its contents with a hand movement. Back in town and out and about at Brixton Market, Troy is keen to find out how fresh the fish is at the fishmongers. No-one expects to see one so fresh that it flaps – but that's exactly what happens when he brings it back to life. Close by, Troy comes to the rescue of a couple whose bank card has been swallowed at the ATM by not only getting their card back by reaching in to the machine, but grabbing the exact amount of money they needed too. As the second episode reaches its conclusion, Troy saves the best for last. In his final spectacular stunt, he dumbfounds bystanders waiting to cross Tower Bridge by disappearing from behind a coat and appearing at the other side of the bridge, all before the drawbridge has come down.

Épisode 3 - Episode 3

27 janvier 2015

In the third episode, Troy starts by taking us back to the clothes shop he once worked at. After performing a card trick on his former colleagues where he makes the name of the card he chose actually call his former co-worker on his phone, he goes back behind the counter one last time to have some fun with the unsuspecting customers who are completely unaware Troy is a magician or that they are being filmed. First, he magically makes the customer's name appear on a free T-Shirt he's giving out before angering one man by cutting up his credit card and amazes him by restoring it completely un-damaged. Sensing an opportunity to ramp it up some more Troy then takes his card again and wipes it clean... by turning it completely transparent! If there is one thing Troy can't magic up, it's muscles. So we follow him off to the gym. Not being able to resist an opportunity, Troy helps a damsel in distress who has come back to her locker with everything she put in it now disappeared. With a wave of a magical hand, Troy makes everything come back again to the complete shock of the girl who also has no idea she is on camera. As Troy waits for his bus he chats to a group of students and asks one of them what she wanted to be when she was growing up. A model. Deciding to give her a taste of what it could have been like and after asking her to think of any number, the bus with that same number pulls up on the other side of the road with a giant billboard on the side with that same girl on it starring in her very own perfume advertisement. Troy then visits an art gallery and puts his own influence into one of the photographs by magically placing a tennis ball into it. Realizing the photographer might not appreciate his take on things he returns it back to how it was originally and pulls out a real tennis ball from the picture. Next he chats to a group and asks a girl to draw anything she wants as he attempts to read her mind and copy what she's drawing. They both turn their drawings around and reveal that they have both drawn an umbrella. Wanting to show everyone what they have drawn he turns all the pictures on the wall behind them into drawings of umbrellas. Several years ago, Troy was at a bus stop and two people tried to steal his phone off him. He held it up and made it magically disappear, confusing the two guys and giving him time to jump on his bus and get away. Troy therefore knows how much people value their phones and so creates a bit of a stir when he visits a phone shop wipes a customer's phone and turns it completely see through. While being secretly filmed he also shows a couple of girls how they can turn a pay as you go leaflet into actual real money. They attempt it too although not quite as successfully. Troy is half Jamaican so the Notting Hill Carnival is something he always looks forward to. Troy shows off his mind reading skills by making a prediction and asking a steel band to play the notes of a song which turn out to be the same one that one of the girls had been thinking of. What's after the party....? The afterparty! Troy goes to his friend's house where he amazes people with his take on the drinking game, Beer Pong. Somehow making a signed ball disappear from his hand and appear in a cup on the other side of the room while it is completely covered. Finally he asks for the help of a group of ladies to play a prank on his friend he's waiting for by hiding inside a box and jumping out on him. Yet after getting inside the box, before he gets a chance to do jump out, the box is crushed much to the panic of the women. A few moments later Troy appears from around the corner completely unscathed.

Épisode 4 - Episode 4

In the fourth episode, Troy asks a couple or girls if they'll assist him in getting his lunch at a restaurant as he's been told there is long wait on food. Neither of the girls knows that they're being filmed or that Troy is a magician. He asks the girls to write down on a napkin the ingredients to the tortilla soup from the menu. He throws the napkin into a pot and with a click of his fingers, instantly transforms it into a delicious freshly made soup much to the amazement of the girls. Knowing soup can't be eaten with the forks that are on the table, he picks one up and magically changes it into a spoon before digging into his lunch. Next, Troy self-confesses to having OCD… Obsessive Cap Disorder. He's got nearly 100 of them, and when people find out he is a magician they sometimes ask him "can you pull a rabbit out a hat?"... of course he can! And he does exactly that in front of a young family when visiting one of his favourite haunts, a vintage clothes shop in East London. Then, while in the shop he asks a couple of girls (who are unaware they are on camera) if they could help him decide what outfit looks best on him out of a few choices he's picked up. With them happy to oblige, Troy walks into the changing room and almost immediately walks back out, but now wearing different clothes. Stunned, the girls give an opinion and Troy goes back to the changing room to try something else on. He instantly walks out again in yet another new outfit. Still not happy with his choice he goes back in one last time, closes the curtain, opens it immediately and walks straight out again but this time now in a full evening suit. Troy then walks off coolly adding a finishing touch by producing a pair of shades from thin air. Slick. Troy has always wanted to be good at skateboarding, but has forever been better at flipping cards than boards. But, that doesn't mean he can't show off his skills in the skate park. After watching the boarders and their tricks, he borrows one of their boards and shows them what he can do, magically sliding the wheels from the top of the board all the way down to the bottom ones, even moving the screw holes on the other side of the board with it. He then borrows a bike from one of the girls in the group and walks over to a bench. He places the bike on the bench and then a skateboard on the handlebars. Somehow balancing them, he climbs up onto the bench before walking up the bike and standing at the end of the skateboard. Upon returning the bike and board the group have a go themselves, unsuccessfully being able to balance anything at all and left totally baffled. Running through the heart of London is the Thames River. The last thing anyone would ever think of doing is drinking from it, but that's not the case when Troy's around with his amazing power of mind control. He starts by blindfolding a man and asking him to think of any drink. Troy then scoops water from the Thames (yes the actual Thames!) into a bucket, pours it into a cup and hands it to the man. To a shocked crowd, the man sips it and calls out the drink he can taste and the one he was secretly thinking of, Malibu. Visiting a pool hall on Brick Lane, Troy and his good friend (also called Troy) challenge a couple to a game. Preferring American pool with spots and stripes instead of solid colors, Troy (the magic one) changes the balls instantly from solids to the American style ones. During the game he claims to be able to actually hear what color ball has been hit without looking. Troy has a bet with the girl that he can, then successfully calls out the correct color of various balls that are hit, winning the bet! He still loses the actual game though as he's definitely better at magic than pool! Troy has another confession…. he LOVES chicken. He can't get enough of it and luckily one of his friends, Dabs, owns a chicken shop, so he goes to visit him and ends up behind the counter serving unsuspecting customers, giving him a chance to have a bit of fun with them. After messing up the order for a group of girls he offers to make it fresh, placing it all into a box, clicking his fingers, and turning it all back into a live chicken! It's frustrating running out of cash on a night out, especially when you can't find a cash machine. Troy has his own solution to that though and shows a group of girls how he can literally draw out some cash by borrowing a lipstick and drawing a cash machine on a wall before inserting his card into it, making a pin pad appear from nowhere before cash actually comes out from the wall! Finally Troy visits a bookstall on the South Bank of the Thames. He claims to a dubious group of people there he can control their minds. After being told "go on then" by one customer he asks people to select any book and flick through it, stopping at a page then selecting a random word from it. He asks one of the girls to write down on a board a sentence made up of all the words people have chosen. After seeing the sentence for the first time Troy tells them he has controlled every single thing they have done and knew what the sentence would be. He asks them to turn around and behind them in the distance covering the bridge over the river is the same sentence the group came up with: "Magic fills the world with awe & surprises."

Épisode 5 - Episode 5

In the fifth episode we take a look at some of Troy's favorite things to do out and about in London. While shopping for his mom, Troy asks for advice from a fellow shopper on his choice. He holds up the clothing to a mannequin, before dropping it turning it and then turning the mannequin into an actual human. The clothes theme continues as Troy goes window-shopping with a group of girls who see a top they like in one of the windows. Even though the shop is closed Troy has a way to still have a good look at it by magically putting his hand through a window, reaching inside and pulling the clothing through the glass. Next, Troy goes on a night out with two of his friends to the fairground. After enjoying some of the rides he chats to a couple of girls at a shooting stall about what would be good prizes to win, like a phone for example. Never one to miss out on an opportunity to cause mischief, Troy asks to see one of the girl's phone and promptly smashes the screen up much to the shock of people around. But then, in one swift wave of his hand he magically restores it back to being completely undamaged. Troy loves football, although he's not very good at playing it. Fortunately he's much better at magic so when he's at a vending machine after playing a game with his friends he treats them to a quick trick. He borrows a £5 note, tearing part of it off and putting it into the coin slot that puts the credit to £1. Then after his friend selects a chocolate bar it drops out and he opens it to reveal that the torn off part of the note is actually inside the wrapper of the bar. Troy then takes both parts of the note and somehow makes them join back together and returns the £5 completely undamaged. Heading to the pub, Troy takes on two guys in a game of Scrabble. Ever the one to spot an opportunity he asks one of the guys to think of any word. Troy collects some tiles and has a guess at what it could be. Wrong. He asks what the word was and find out that it's "quartz". With a swift wave of his hand over the wrong tiles, they instantly change to the letters that now spell QUARTZ. Troy heads over to the bar, and starts chatting to a group about shots. They order a round of tequila and ask to include the tequila worm in one of the shots. Troy takes the one with the worm and downs it before instantly regretting it and telling the group he needs to get it out of him. He lifts up his top and digs around in his bellybutton before pulling the worm out, shocking the entire pub! After a night out what's better than going to a greasy spoon café? Troy asks a girl who is unaware she is being filmed what she recommends from the menu. Troy then takes a menu and pulls out a fresh bacon sandwich. Being a huge Michael Jackson fan, Troy always remembers the graveyard scenes in the Thriller video, so when taking a short cut through a grave yard with a group on the way to a party, Troy decides to have a bit of fun. They come to a grave that has a cover on it. Troy asks one of the girls to think of any name. He lifts the sheet and it's the same name on the headstone! He asks the girl to hold up the sheet in front of him and call the name on the headstone, Lillian Styles 3 times. On the 3rd time the sheet shoots into the distance, revealing Troy has disappeared. All of a sudden a hand comes out of the gravestone causing everyone to scream! It's Troy! He climbs out of the ground and walks off leaving a very scared group behind. Lastly, Troy enjoys a night out at Coq d'Argent, a bar/restaurant with an amazing rooftop view of the city. After admiring the view with a group of people he asks a girl to choose her favorite building. She points to one with a green light on top of it. Troy takes a few steps away, holds up his hand and all the lights from the building turn off. The green light then shoots from the building and onto Troy. He turns around and everyone sees that he has absorbed the light and now his veins have turned green too! He turns back to the building before sending the light back and all the building lights come back on. He turns back around and he too is back to normal before walking off leaving a stunned crowd.

In this series finale we look back at some of Troy's best tricks from the season as he uses everyday objects and situations to baffle and amaze unsuspecting people. Troy pops in to his local barbers and before he leaves plays a trick on one of the customers making his phone vanish and appear behind the mirror! Troy loves a tattoo or two… or several so when visiting his tattoo parlor he chats with a couple that are thinking of getting some new ink. After suggesting a fish design, Troy shows them how they look better in real life by shaking the page, removing the fish from it and having the fish appear in the water dispenser as live fish! If there is one thing Troy can't magic up, it's muscles. So we follow him off to the gym.
