Dernier descendant des Tsuchimikado, célèbre lignée d'onmyouji , Harutora aurait du se retrouver à la tête de la famille. Toutefois, celui-ci n'ayant aucun pouvoir et étant incapable de simplement voir les esprits préféra laisser sa place à son amie d'enfance Natsume. Menant une vie de lycéen paisible avec ses amis Hokuto et Touji, son quotidien va se voir bouleverser lorsqu'une exorciste tente d'effectuer un rituel interdit. À la suite d'un drame, Harutora décide de prêter main forte à Natsume, revenue spécialement de Tokyo pour régler le problème, en devenant son familier.
