A tragic event brings a group of veterans together for the first time since their mission in Uruzgan. but the meeting opens old wounds. The investigation into the death of corporal Bright Cabral brings an arms theft from the past to light. Veteran Joppe Feitsema struggles with his goodbyes to his service dog Zappa. The frustrations lead to a confrontation that gets out of control.

Major Vera Koster of the Royal Dutch Military Police leads the manhunt on wanted veteran Joppe Feitsma. Aisha forces Ismail to seek help after endangering their daughter during a panic attack. Corporal Gerben Hellemons meets an unexpected visitor breaking his isolation. Sandrine makes an appeal to Tom van Dijk because she suspects that he knows where Joppe is hiding out.

Things close in on Joppe and Olivier when it becomes clear they want to make a statement on Veteransday. Vera Koster is forced to mobilize the security services and a substantial interception is being planned. Tom is forced to abandon his father to prevent an imminent catastrophe. Sandrine supports Marlous when Jeroen is nowhere to be found. Tirza mobilizes Gerben and Ismail to make a stand in The Hague.
