Based on the novel "Legend of Condor Hero" by Jin Yong, the story is set in the middle of Song Dynasty and at the beginning of the Nuzhen Invasion of China. Two dedicated Song Dynasty young men, Yang Tie Xin and Guo Xiao Tian find out that their wives are pregnant. They promise each other that when their children are born, they would become either sworn brothers or sworn sisters (if both are the same gender) or be married if they were of different genders. One night they befriend a Taoist priest named Qiu Chuji of Quan Zhen Sect who's wanted by Jin soldiers. Qiu Chuji dispatches soldiers coming to arrest him with ease and leaves when he sees a signal of his Sect appear in the night sky. Yang's kind hearted wife, Bao Xirou, rescues a wounded man who turns out to be the Jin prince Wanyan Honglie. When the Jin soldiers return, the two families are torn asunder. Wanyan Honglie takes Bao Xirou to the Jin capital while Guo Li Ping is taken by a greedy Jin soldier, Duan Tiande, to the Mongolian outskirts. Both women believe that their husbands perished trying to save them. Upon discovering his friends' demise, Qiu Chuji vows to find their children and teach them martial arts so that they can avenge the wrong done to their families. Hot on the trail of Duan Tiande, Qiu Chuji "befriends" The 7 Weirdos of Jiangnan. In exchange for helping Qiu Chuji find the two women, they make a friendly wager. Upon finding the children of Yang and Guo, each side will teach the child they find their martial arts. On the 18th birthday of the two children, they will all gather and have the two duel each other. The rest of the series depicts the trials and tribulations that the two sons underwent. Guo Jing, Guo Xiao Tian's son, grows up in Mongolia under the protection of Genghis Khan. Yang Kang, on the other hand, grows up as a prince in the Jin Empire.

Épisode 1 - 第01集

Six years after the Jingkang incident in 1202, in the village of Niu Family (牛家村). It is snowing thick and fast. The sworn brothers Guo Xiaotian and Yang Tiexin are drinking and eating, while Qiu Chuji, a daoshi and one of the Seven True Daoists of Quanzhen sect, comes to their door carrying a bag. They invite Qiu Chuji to join them. Qiu Chuji suspects that they are captors of the government, and he attacks Yang Tiexin, Yang uses Yang Family style spear (杨家枪) to fight with him, Qiu Chuji recognizes his skill and stops attacking. After the fight, they tell Qiu Chuji that they are descendants of loyal generals. Large numbers of Jin army invade the village of Niu Family. Qiu Chuji kills them all. Yang Tiexin seeks out a token which carved "Employs by the Jin Empire" from a soldier. Qiu Chuji says that he just beheaded the traitor Wang Daoqian (王道乾). After the dinner, Qiu Chuji gives names to their unborn children, he also gives two daggers which carved names of the unborn children as presents to them. Li Ping, wife of Guo Xiaotian, and Bao Xiruo, wife of Yang Tiexin, exchange the daggers for a keepsake. At night, Bao Xiruo saves the injured Six Prince of Jin Empire, Wanyan Honglie, in the woodshed where he hides. Three months later, Wanyan Honglie orders Duan Tiande, a local military official and traitor of the Song Empire, to capture Guo Xiaotian and Yang Tiexin. Guo is killed by a group of soldiers led by Duan Tiande, Li Ping is captured and hold hostage while Yang Tiexin is kicked out of a cliff by Duan Tiande. Bao Xiruo is rescued by Wanyan Honglie. After seeing the corpse of Guo Xiaotian when Qiu Chuji comes back tothe village of Niu Family, Qiu Chuji vows to average him. Duan Tiande hides in Fahua Temple (法华寺), after he lying to his uncle, Master Jiaomu, the abbot of Fahua Temple. Qiu Chuji asks Master Jiaomu about Duan Tiande, and Master Jiaomu promises to give Qiu Chuji an answer in three days at Zuixian Pavilion (醉仙楼). In Zuixian Pavilion, Zhu Cong (nee "Marvellous-Handed School") steads Wanyan Honglie's money. Bao Xiruo witness Wanyan Honglie summoning Gai Yuncong (盖运聪), a local official of Jiaxing Prefecture who kneels down and serves two plates of gold. At night, Bao Xiruo intends to kill Wanyan Honglie, but she give up the plan when she listens to Wanyan Honglie's blandishments, then she tries to commit suicide, but Wanyan Honglie prevents her.

Three days later in Zuixian Pavilion, Qiu Chuji demands Master Jiaomu to release the hostage Li Ping, but he refuses. Qiu is defeated by the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan, who are hired by Master Jiaomu as a peacemaker. Qiu Chuji comes to Fahua Temple to rescue the hostage. Both of them are weakened by the fight. Just then, Duan Tiande takes the hostage escapes. Master Jiaomu is killed by Duan Tiande when he rush to rescue Qiu Chuji. Qiu Chuji and the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan concludes an agreement. They will look for the hostages separately, and teach the children martial arts, 18 years later, the two young men will contest in Zuixian Pavilion. Li Ping gives birth to a son (Guo Jing) in the battlefield in a snowing day. Then they are taken in by some nomads and become part of Temüjin's tribe. The young Guo Jing saves the injured Jebe, who is beijing hunted by Temüjin's army. Temüjin's inferior whips Guo Jing and forces Guo Jing to tell them where about Jebe hides, but Guo Jing remains dumb. Jebe defeats Borokhula, a follower of Temüjin, in the archery contest before he is admitted as a follower of Temüjin. Temüjin orders him to teach Guo Jing and Toluiarchery and riding. The Six Prince Wanyan Honglie and his elder brother, the Three Prince Wanyan Hongxi, tour the borderland of Mongolian. The Three Prince smashes the gold coins on the welcoming crowd. Guo Jing picks up some gold coins on the ground and hits the Three Prince. The angry Three Prince seizes a spear and shot at Guo Jing.

Jebe shoots down the flying spear with the bow and arrow. Wanyan Honglie stops his brother when the angry Three Prince is going to put out his sword. In the Mongolian yurt, Wanyan Honglie bestows on Temüjin an official post, which arouses envy of Sangkun and Jamukha. Guo Jing becomes anda (sworn brothers) of Tolui, the fourth son of Temüjin. The Seven Freaks of Jiangnan encounters Guo Jing while Dushi reaves Guo Jing and Tolui's hare and beats them. The Seven Freaks of Jiangnan accidentally discovers several piles of skeletons, Ke Zhen'e (nee "Flying Bat") deduces that the "Twin Killers in the Dark Wind" are murderers. They decided to ambush the "Twin Killers in the Dark Wind" at night. At night, Guo Jing stabs Chen Xuanfeng to death after his fifth master Zhang Asheng died of the rescue of Han Xiaoying, who is Zhang Asheng's young sister and lover and Guo Jing's seventh master. Huazheng, Temüjin's daughter and Guo Jing's dear friend, tells Guo Jing that a group of black eagles are besieging a couple of white eagles. In order to rescue the white eagles, Guo Jing shots two black eagles with one arrow. Temüjin awards Guo Jing a gold sword after Guo Jing proffers his preys. Guo Jing encounters Ma Yu, one of the Seven Immortals of Quanzhen sect, when they planning to adopt the eyas of the white eagles. After Ma Yu helps them to take the nest from the cliff, Guo Jing asks Ma Yu to accept him as a disciple.

Guo Jing studies out-fight under the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan in the daytime and studies the Quanzhen sect under Ma Yu in the evening. A akhal-teke horse runs in the haras, Han Baoju (nee "Horse Deity"), Guo Jing's master, tries to subdue the horse, but he fails and his disciple Guo Jing success. They give it to Guo Jing as a prize. Guo Jing's skill has grown by leaps and bounds, which arouses the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan's suspicions, they conclude that Guo Jing studies martial arts under others. So they decide to track Guo Jing. At dusk, Guo Jing and Ma Yu stumble on Mei Chaofeng practising the "Nine Yin White Bone Claw" (九阴白骨爪) with human skulls. Guo Jing and Ma Yu come after Mei Chaofeng all the way to the Mongolian yurts of Sangkun. The Seven Freaks of Jiangnan decide to kill Guo Jing after they find some human skulls on the top of a hill. Guo Jing stands outside the Mongolian yurt of Sangkun and hears Sangkun, Jamukha and Wanyan Honglie plotting to kill Temüjin in the name of discussing marriage between Dushi and Huazheng. Guo Jing and Ma Yu return home, they tells the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan that Mei Chaofeng is looking for revenge for them. Guo Jing informs Huazheng that Sangkun and Wanyan Honglie plot to kill his father, Temüjin. At night, Ma Yu and the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan disguise themselves as the Seven True Daoists of Quanzhen sect in the hill, where Mei Chaofeng practised martial arts, and plot to kill Mei Chaofeng. Mei Chaofeng leaves the hostage Huazheng and runs away. Guo Jing informs Temüjin that he has fallen into Sangkun's trap. Temüjin is besieged by Sangkun, he has to retreat to the brae. Guo Jing captures Dushi and defeats the Four Ghost of the Yellow River. Temüjin puts a sword in the neck of Dushi and demands Sangkun withdraw.

At night, Jamukha travels to Temüjin's barracks to persuade Temüjin to surrender. Temujin refuses and says "You are no longer my friend". Temüjin sents Tolui back for reinforcements. Jamukha attacks Temüjin, after a while, Tolui arrives with reinforcement, and Jamukha withdraws his army. Temüjin releases Dushi and hits Tolui twenty army-stick. Temüjin sents Guo Jing and Jebe to escort Huazheng to Sangkun's domain. In Dushi's tent, Huazheng makes a declaration of love to Guo Jing. When the drunk Dushi comes in, he sees Guo Jing holding Huazheng. The jealous Dushi presses Guo Jing to the ground. In order to rescue Guo Jing, Huazheng kills Dushi with a stab to the heart. Jebe sets fire to Sangkun's camp, at the same time, Temujin leads his army storms into Sangkun's barracks. Temüjin unifies the Mongolian tribes through the war, and he is accorded the title of Genhis Khan. In the celebration party, Genhis Khan awards Guo Jing the rank of chiliarch and betroths his daughter Huazheng to Guo Jing. Guo Jing and the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan go back to Zhejiang. Guo Jing saves a beggar who is sneaking off while a pedlar is running after her. Guo Jing treat the hungry beggar to have a big meal.

Je ne suis pas vraiment fan des héros benêt mais l'histoire est vraiment bien on rit on pleure que demander de plus ^^
