Sancar, a poor worker's son, while still a young child falls in love with Nare, the daughter of an Ambassador who came to Bodrum for holidays. These two opposite children love each other very much and fight for their love for years. Eventually the girl runs to the boy, but on the night of their reunion Nare suddenly disappears. No one ever sees her again. Some says that she fell into the sea and died, others said that the Ambassador's daughter runaway to Europe. One man writes a song for them, he says that the Ambassador's daughter turned into a bird and flew away. Thus, the unhappy story of Nare and Sancar becomes an epic love story. The Ambassador's daughter who disappeared on a wedding night, exactly nine years later reappears on another wedding night. Moreover, this wedding is Sancar's wedding and she brought him his daughter.

When coming down she leaves the seashell which were a symbol of an engagement ring and the red belt that she has been hiding for years at Sancar's feet. Nare is finished with both the epic story and Sancar. Nare, who finds out that the man she though she killed is alive and will not going to jail, now has one purpose. She will take her daughter back from Sancar and make this land, which is like hell for the Ambassador's daughter and the worker's son, to hometown for her and her daughter. But of course, Sancar does not give her daughter back, Nare can't even see Melek. Now there is neither epic story nor a lie, the only thing that the drums are beating for now is war. However, the real enemy will attack them from blind spot.

When the Ambassador kidnaps Melek, Sancar and Nare follow their daughter to Podgoridca, Montenegro. When they find themselves in a different world, they leave everyone behind, declare a truce for their daughter and steal one day and a night from their fate. Sometimes this journey is a dream that they are together, and sometimes journey is a nightmare where they seek their daughter. On the one hand are the memories that they can not escape from, on the other hand are some realities that emerged, but most important is the adventure that each of them is fighting from within. Gediz, someone that they left in a whole other world, confronts the truth he has discovered in his heart, and Menekse who cannot bear to think of two lovers alone together and changes her plan. Sancar wakes up from his dream and in order to put out the burning love in his heart he burns both himself and Nare. The epic story has now died.

Insted of living an epic lie, she is going to create a fairy tale life for her daughter. But Nare has a huge obstacle before her. As Nare continues her adamant against Sancar, she asks Gediz for his help in this battle. When Gediz learns how deep Nare's wounds actually are, he is going to have to make a very difficult decision.

This also means that the partnership formed many years ago with the two doing everything hand in hand is also over. Until they find the responsible persons they do not even think about family nor for the years they will spend in prison. When all assets of Sancar and Gediz are confiscated, Efeoglu family loses their mansion. Halise, who as servant always walked in the mansion with her head bowed, leaves the mansion with her head bowed once again. Moreover, she has to live under the same roof as Nare and look at her wounded face. Nare struggles with the trauma of the attack that she experienced, and is dedicated to help with everything in the absence of the two partners, because she believes wholeheartedly in their innocence.

Sancar does everything to guarantee that Necdet is caught and then sentenced to be in the same cell. When he learns that it was his mother who hired Necdet his entire world falls apart. He has been stabbed in the back one more time. As these two best friends start to question their family as well as the trust that they have in each other, they are also trying to get accustomed to prison life, but there is one thing making them be able to breath easier: Nare is safe. Akin is in Gediz's house with the intent of squeezing Nare into a corner. Nare may be alone as the two best friends are in prison, however she does not need them to fight off Akin. Now, she has found a way to ridding herself from Akin once and for all.

Sancar goes mad when he learns that Nare has taken Melek away. The thing that hurt him is not just his daughter's absence but The Ambassador's daughter left him once again, as in the past. He tries to take out the pain of this betrayal on the letters he has kept for years. Nare, who believes that Akin is her own plague and tries to keep this microbe from spreading to others, succeeds in her plan. Akin soon discovers that Nare is in Barcelona. Her father, Güven, is about to make a deal with Sancar for a big amount of money to tell Akin's place. Nare's only remedy is to get Gediz to participate in this auction organized by her father for Akin. Gediz redistributes the cards and brings a new breath to the auction. Actions taken by Yahya, who was crushed under his complexes, to save Halisefe, pushes Sancar into the corner. Sancar has to make a choice between his mother and the Ambassador's daughter. Elvan will make this choice for him.

Nare finally trusts Gediz enough to share all her secrets and tell him about her days in the mental hospital. Isabel tells Sancar a new tale, she tells him about Shakespeare's Othello. When Sancar meets Akin in Switzerland, where he actually went to find out the truth, he goes mad. While all of this is happening in Switzerland, in Turkey Nare is having a very difficult time dealing with Melek who is dreaming of being a family of three, and Nare is trying to explain that this is never going to happen. But before is taking too long Sancar returns to Turkey, and he is not going to act as Nare expects and this is going to make Nare's life even more difficult.

Sancar and Akin are on a same path walking towards each other. Nare and Gediz, on the other hand, are doing whatever they can in order to avoid them to crossing paths. Akin, who has no limit in using people's weaknesses, pretends to be lame and pulls Zehra into his trap step by step. Zehra's excitement of finding a destiny partner, hurts Kavruk the most. While Akin sets a trap for Zehra, a trap is also set up for him. Güven and Kerem form an alliance to sell off to the highest bidder Akin's dirty laundry. If Nare and Gediz win the auction, Akin will end up in prison, and if Sancar wins, it will be a grave. Nare suffers a nervous breakdown as the man she will never forgive is breaking up himself not to look down while walking on the edge of the cliff. But this crisis brings Sancar closer to the edge of the cliff. On that fine and long road to the end, one of Sancar's foot is on the edge, the other is over the edge and Nare will realize that Sancar believes in one word.

Elvan's answers cause Sancar, who married in order to have a child, to decide to divorce for the sake of a child. Now it's time to ask Nare for forgiveness for everything.
