Squiddly est une gentille pieuvre rose qui porte un petit chapeau de matelot, et qui vit dans un parc aquatique. Douée pour la musique et s'ennuyant à mourir, elle voudrait faire carrière dans le showbizness pour jouer du saxophone ou de la guitare. Pour ce faire, elle tente souvent de s’évader du parc, mais Winchley, le gardien moustachu du parc, sympathique mais intransigeant, ramène toujours Squiddly dans sa piscine-aquarium à la fin de chaque épisode.

Épisode 1 - Way Out Squiddly

Aliens kidnap Squiddly believing he is a typical Earth man, and take him back to their planet where they test him in order to see if they would be able to take over the Earth.
Épisode 2 - Show Biz Squid

Squiddly is jealous when he sees that the dolphins at Bubbleland are considered greater stars than him, so he runs away. He ends up inside a hotel, where the hotel manager starts chasing him, trying to capture him.

When the World's Champion wrestler, the Octopus, catches a cold and can't take part in the big fight against the Crusher, his manager tricks Squiddly into taking the Octopus' place.

Bored with his life at Bubbleland, Squiddly, wanting to see the world, accidentally joins the navy, where he starts driving his Admiral crazy.

Squiddly travels to the Wild West for some action, but there he meets Shotgun Sludge, who wants to shoot him.

A TV show is being filmed at Bubbleland, and Squiddly tries to get the part of the squid after the actor that was playing the squid in the show quits. But soon Squiddly learns why the actor quit in the first place.

Sick and tired of having Chief Winchley order him around, Squiddly runs away from Bubbleland, but ends up on a pirate ship, where he is treated even worse.

Squiddly manages to sneak out of Bubbleland and arrives at the beach, where he sees a girl squid and falls in love with her. But another male squid has seen her too, and challenges Squiddly to a duel to win her love.

Chief Winchley throws Squiddly out of Bubbleland. When he goes to take him back, he accidentally takes a man in a squid costume who was on his way to a masquerade party. Ironically, Squiddly arrives at the masquerade party, where everyone thinks he is just wearing a costume.

A kid takes Squiddly home with him, considering him his new pet. He tries to hide Squiddly around the house, until he gets a chance to tell his parents. His dad keeps seeing Squiddly everywhere and thinks he is starting to go crazy.
