Alex confía en la inocencia de María José respecto al desfalco que hicieron en la empresa, donde ella aparece como la única responsable, por lo cual, le hacer saber su apoyo a esta última. Bruno, desesperado, decide contratar a través de Erick, a unos matones para terminar con la vida de Alejandro, a través de múltiples disparos a la camioneta donde él va abordo junto con Paula. Sin embargo, sus planes se ven frustrados. Al ver esto, no le queda más remedio que planear su fuga junto con Erick, antes de que la policía de con su paradero. Paralelamente y sin imaginarlo, Elena ha sido sentenciada a doce años de prisión.

Ésta dice que se entregue a la policía, él asegura que antes de que ocurra eso, se mata. Victoria se encuentra con Bruno en una isla, le da el dinero. Éste dice que piensa huir, cruzar el río a Guatemala, luego le reclama por no haber querido más a Alejandro, le dice que la odia. Alejandro llega a la isla, se enfrenta con Bruno, éste le da un balazo en el brazo. Luego se agarran a golpes, cuando Alex está a punto de matar a Bruno, interviene Victoria. Erick toma la pistola, dispara contra Bruno y lo mata. Meses después, María José, Paula y Pedro van a visitar a Elena a la cárcel, ella está arrepentida por todo lo que hizo. Victoria le pide a Fernando que sea feliz con una mujer que le pueda dar hijos, éste le pide que no decida por él, ya que a quien ama es a ella. Alejandro va a visitar a Maura a la cárcel, ella le pide perdón. Éste la perdona y le dice que ya está todo olvidado. Victoria y Fernando se despiden para siempre.
