L'histoire se passe sur une autre planète où une guerre éclate entre 3 pays L'Argentum, Le Simulacrum et Le Plumbum. Toutes personnes sur cette planète viennent au monde en étant une fille. Chacun de ces pays a sa technologie pour définir le sexe des personnes naissant. Mais dans le Simulacrum les jeunes filles ont à partir de leurs 17 ans le pouvoir d'aller à la Source afin choisir de rester une fille ou devenir un homme et de pouvoir passer à l'âge "adulte". Les Simoun Sibyllae sont les prêtresses du Simulacrum qui offrent leurs prières au Tempus Spatium en dessinant dans le ciel des Ri-Maajon grâce au Simoun. Mais les Ri-Maajon sont aussi des armes de destruction impressionnantes. L'unité d'élite des Sibyllae est le Call Tempest prouvera que les Simoun sont des armes et non les chars de dieux... Nous découvrirons la nouvelle recrue Aaeru qui ne vit que pour piloter des Simouns et Neviril la meilleure mais fragile Sibyllae Aurea (ou la Regina) du Call Tempest puis toutes les autres jeunes filles dans leur lutte vers l'âge adulte et vers la fin de la guerre.
