"Shadow" of the Floating Cloud Division: Lu Chen, an undercover agent who destroyed the Demon Sect's Divine Spell and was cursed by the Black Fire, loses all his cultivation. After ten years in exile, his master, Tian Lan, reappears and tasks him with finding the Demon Sect's spies at the Kunlun Sect and repairing the damaged Five Elements Divine Plate. Assigned as a lowly disciple in Kunlun's Hundred Herbs Hall, Lu Chen makes many friends and meets his lifelong love, Yi Xin, experiencing human warmth. He uncovers secrets behind Kunlun, discovering that the Black Dragon sealed there is not evil and that Tian Lan, who pretends to act for righteousness, has ulterior motives. Confronted with the truth, Lu Chen decides to act according to his heart rather than conventional notions of good and evil.
