He meets up with Snap, a picture of a superhero that Rudy drew in 2nd grade, and also this this monster that wants to hurt everyone. With Snap's help, Rudy is able to beat the thick headed monster.

He concludes that Rudy Tabootie has discovered the secret of perpetual energy. Penny is furious at Rudy, because she worked really hard on her project while Rudy drew up his project in 5 seconds and it is more popular than hers. But when Rudy's Bobble-head Snap machine is taken away for scientific research, risking the exposure of ChalkZone, Penny overcomes her anger towards Rudy and she uses the chalk herself for her first solo venture into ChalkZone to help Rudy.

When he can't find out where Rudy went, he tries to pry open the backpack to figure out how to get into Chalkzone and find Rudy. Meanwhile, Rudy and Penny have also teamed up to design a robot that will win the coveted National Young Robot Developers (NYRD) award. But they're having trouble agreeing on the design. Penny wants a practical robot, Rudy wants a martial arts fighting machine. Unable to agree, they erase it from their chalk board. Unfortunately, Skrawl and Craniac4 see the Rudy-and-Penny-designed robot and realize it's perfect for their plans.
