"Minus: Dis Cortex, tu veux faire quoi cette nuit? Cortex: La même chose que chaque nuit Minus, tenter de conquérir la monde!" Voici comment commence chaque épisode mettant en scène ces deux souris de laboratoire qui veulent conquérir le monde. Si Minus possède le QI d'une huître, Cortex est un génie qui ne recule devant rien pour assouvir sa soif de pouvoir. Physiquement Minus est une grande souris alors que Cortex est beaucoup plus petit mais avec une tête beaucoup trop grosse pour son corps. La première étape consiste donc à s'échapper de leur cage puis du laboratoire. Pas facile pour Cortex de faire comprendre ses plans machiavéliques à son acolyte qui ne sait dire que Zort ou Narf.

Il utilise la recette dans une classe de cuisine et quand les crêpes éclatent, il est arrêté. Il est emmené en prison, mais la chance commence à tourner quand les gens le prennent pour Napoléon Bonaparte.

Il espère alors que le père Noël distribuera le jouet partout le monde pour qu'il puisse le conquérir.
