Madoka Akagi grew up in a port town in the Kanto prefecture of Japan. After graduating university, she moved to work at ADventure, a small advertising agency in Tokyo. She came to Tokyo in search of her dreams but reality sets in and every day is not like the world she imagined, especially when she has to do a presentation that decides the company's fate. However, she soon finds a package from her mother which includes a Game Boy Pocket and Pokémon Red. She decides to start playing Pokémon Red for the first time in 20 years. How will her adventure go?

Madoka Akagi (Nanase Nishino) gets a job at ADventure, a small advertising agency in Tokyo, aiming to become a creator, which has been her dream since her days as a student. Madoka moved to Tokyo to pursue her dreams, but reality was not so kind to her... As she spends her days very differently than the glittering world she had imagined, she suddenly accepts a presentation that will hold the fate of her company. At the same time, Madoka receives a package from her mother. Inside is a Game Boy and the "Pokémon Red" game that she used to play as a child. The adventure of Madoka, her first Pokémon adventure in 20 years, begins.

Madoka Akagi (Nanase Nishino) is assigned to advertise a new brand of rice, Mizuhomare. She asks copywriter Kamo Osho (Toshifumi Muramatsu) to write a catchphrase for her, but nobody listens to her, and the meeting is cut short. When the catchphrase comes through with an unusual sentence, Madoka asks Kamo to reconsider, but he refuses to listen and ends up dozing off. Furthermore, Madoka's words anger Kamo! While eating at Masako's (Eriko Sato) cafe and playing a Pokemon game, Madoka hears Masako's son Sora (Tosho Watanabe) with a game in hand...
