Dans cet épisode nous découvrons l'état d'esprit de Winston et ses souvenirs alors qu'il hésite à relancer l'appel général des agents d'Overwatch. C'est au cours de cette période de doute que son laboratoire de l'observatoire Gibraltar subit une attaque de la Griffe.

"En Vie" nous présente le personnage de Fatal, la meilleure des assassins de la Griffe. Dans cet épisode, nous la retrouvons lors d'une nuit à King's Row qui deviendra historique. En effet il suffit parfois d'une mort pour changer l'Histoire à jamais.
