The travails of a company man once touted as an elite executive candidate who falters when he voices opposition to his superiors over an acquisition, and is exiled to general affairs manager at a branch factory. Kimijima goes to see company director Takigawa to report that the Astros’ have finally won a game but is surprised when Takigawa begins heaping abuse on the struggling rugby team. Kimijima promises to keep winning games and increase fan attendance, but then Sasa, one of the team’s reserve players, steps out of line and causes trouble for Kimijima and the company.

Meanwhile, at work, Kimishima becomes drawn into protests over Kazama’s plans to develop a golf course.

Director Takigawa presides over a meeting of Tokiwa Automobile’s executives to discuss the buyout of Kazama Trading. Kimishima comes to the meeting with some documents he wants to share with the other company executives. Meanwhile, on the rugby pitch, Nanao is finally added to the Astros’ regular roster.

When Kimishima’s former boss, Wakisaka, is promoted to company director, he begins calling openly for the rugby team to be abolished and promises to slash the Astros’ budget at the next board of directors meeting. Meanwhile, the players are training hard for their upcoming match against archrivals the Cyclones. Will they be ready when the big day arrives?
