Épisode 1 - East Meets West (1)

12 septembre 1997 - 2.5/5

(Synopsis credited to Ninja Turtles.com) From the darkened sewers of New York to the mysterious splendor of China and beyond our world to the shadowy realm of the evil Dragon Lord, this is the initial episode that reignites the blazing glory of the Ninja Turtles universe! Things have changed quite a bit since we've last visited the Turtles: approaching age eighteen, each Turtle has grown more individualistic. Michaelangelo is still a fun-loving dude and Donatello is still (if not more of) a techno-whiz, Leonardo has become a more serious leader, while Raphael has grown wilder and seemingly less disciplined. Tension exists between Leo and Raph where it didn't before. And Master Splinter, ever the wise mentor, seems to have aged greatly. Shredder and the Foot Clan still plague our heroes, more desperate than ever to defeat Splinter and the Turtles. Meanwhile, far more dangerous adversaries begin to emerge from the shadows. In China, the Shinobi master Chung I, whose role is to keep the d

After recounting her origin and Shinobi training, Venus explains the dire threat posed by the insidious Dragons and their plan to enter our world through the Realm of Dreams. It is in this realm that the Dragon Lord is holding Master Splinter's life essence prisoner! After an etheral dream-walk into the Realm of Dreams and a physical workout battling a group of Foot soldiers, Venus learns that Shredder and the entire Foot Clan plan an all-out attack on the TMNT headquarters. The Turtles decide on a pre-emptive strike against Shredder as the villain gathers his army -- five against tremendous odds! Just as the Shredder has defea

Épisode 3 - East Meets West (3)

26 septembre 1997 - 2.8/5

Finding their Master a prisoner of the nefarious Dragon Lord along with his toady assitant Wick and the Rank Dragons, the Turtles expect a fight - but are surprised (and pleased) to find the Dragon Lord allowing them to return safely to the physical world with Splinter. But why? Why, indeed? Because, unbeknownst to the TMNT and Splinter, the Dragon Lord and his minions have followed the Turtles from the Realm of Dreams to our world! The TMNT and Splinter find much to celebrate; Splinter's freedom and return to health, the final defeat of the Shredder and the Foot, and the arrival of Venus into their lives. During the celebration, while the six picnic in Central Park, the Dragon Lord attacks! During the battle, the leader of the Dragons explains his inte

Once ingested by the Rank, the now-invincible warriors are sure to triumph over the TMNT... Using his ""turtlefied"" eye-in-the-sky satellite, Donatello traces a group of Dragons into Chinatown. Splinter believes that the Turtles should be defensive rather than offensive, so the TMNT merely watch the actions of their enemies rather than engaging them in battle. In doing this, the sensei hopes to spot a weakness in the powerful foes. Raphael, however, disagrees and sets out by himself to Chinatown in order to kick Wick and Dragon butt... but instead ends up having to be rescued by his friends. Meanwhile, the Dragon Lord was only able to gather enough ingredients to make Serum for six warriors --- far short of his goal to turn all of his minions

The Turtles, meanwhile, having analyzed a sample of the serum taken from the previous battle with the Rank, are righteously angered when they discover that the substance is composed of powdered rhino horn, tiger bone and turtle shell! With both sides fired up, the next confrontation at the Zoo is long and furious, a true-life death struggle. As the battle progresses, the TMNT discover that the serum is but a placebo, having no real invincibility power other than to make the user think that he is invulnerable and thus overcome his fears. With this knowledge, the Turtles hand the Dragon Lord and his minions a most crippling defeat! Also, the simmering d

To make matters worse, the bank robbers aren't your common everyday criminals, they're the infamous Monkey Thieves. After a brief introductory skirmish with Bonesteel and his overcoat's seemingly endless arsenal of weaponry, the Turtles manage to escape with the young hawksbill. Bonesteel, however, is far from beaten and vows to take up the hunt--- the hunt for Ninja Turtles! The TMNT are barely a few sewer blocks away when Bonesteel attacks anew. The fight is fast and furious as Bonesteel proves to be as much a physically powerful street brawler as he is adept at using bull whips, crossbows and steel net snares.
