However, Ryang-eum isn't happy with Gil-chae staying with Jang-hyun, so he tells her to leave.

Gil-chae secretly takes Jang-hyun home, and the eunuchs from the palace are searching everywhere to find him. The King tortures the Crown Prince, his own son, with his unjustified suspicion. Therefore, the Crown Prince suffers from an illness, and the Crown Princess is framed as a traitor. Meanwhile, Gakhwa travels to Joseon to take Jang-hyun back.

Meanwhile, Gakhwa comes all the way to Gil-chae's house in Joseon to find Jang-hyun. Since Joseon interpreters are being flogged to death, Gil-chae decides to let him go to Qing for his safety.
