John Mulaney, un apprenti comédien, souhaite perfectionner son art et mener sa carrière au niveau supérieur. Il rencontre Lou Cannon, véritable légende de l'humour, et se voit offrir un travail d'auteur comique. Si le job représente tout ce que John a toujour souhaité, il se révèle être un véritable cauchemar. Entre le stress de son travail et la culpabilité de ne plus être présent pour ses proches, le jeune homme ne sait plus où donner de la tête. Il peut néanmoins compter sur les conseils et l'aide de son voisin Oscar, un vétéran homosexuel de 71 ans qui a tout vu.

Étant un fan de John Mulaney, j'attends beaucoup cette série. Cependant, les 1ère critiques nous parvenant des États-Unis sont très mauvaises... À voi...
