Breakdown! References! Things Missed! All of that. And more. Allow me to elaborate. Like all Marvel trailers, or any comic book movie trailer, the first look at Captain America: Civil War when broken down is littered with easter eggs, references, hints, nods, call backs and call forwards giving us insight into their best tent pole film. Whether it be similarities to the classic Civil War story line and potential looks into the future with some Death of Captain America nods thrown in for good measure, this trailer has it all. From the footage we can also roughly plot out the story which included the capture of Bucky, formally known as The Winter Soldier who ends up being one of the key driving forces in driving Steve Rogers and Tony Stark apart. Not to mention we might be able to answer the question, why is War machine lying in the dirt with his arc reactor removed, what are the other catalyst events that lead to Civil War, how does Black Panther factor in (who looks awesome by the way), why the Avengers and squaring off in a Gernan airport and who are some of the hidden characters in the trailer including Agent 13, Crossbones and Martin Freenans new character. Of course there is also a stack of characters we don't see including Ant-man, Vision, Baron Zemo and probably the most anticipated, the new Spider-man. But maybe there are some Easter eggs that point to them that I've missed, so if so be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments! References! Things Missed! EASTER EGGS! REFERENCES! DAWN OF JUSTICE! It really comes as no surprise that a trailer as revealing as this one has easter eggs and references that tells us not just about the movie but this ever expanding DC universe. We get nods to all sorts of things, Aquaman, Doomsday's creation, how Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent know each other, the fallout from Metropolis' Black Zero event and even more. We also get some confirmation that the Batman we see in the desert is probably some kind of vision of the future or flash forward with the inclusion of what could very well be Darkseid's Parademons, which sets in motion exciting things for the future at both DC and Warner Bros. Also dig you know Ben Affleck wears a wig as Bruce Wayne? That's totally crazy right! I mean that's commitment, he doesn't need that at all, he's got a fine head of hair. But Bruce Wayne in the comics does have a widows peak, so bam, there it is. One of the many easter eggs. If you'd even call that an easter egg. I probably wouldn't. But that's not to say it isn't. Who makes the cut? Jar Jar Binks? Maybe. Han Solo? Yeah, he's in the thumbnail. On a surface level, the choices here may not make a hell of a lot of sense, but when you dig a little deeper you might find they still don't. But if you turn your head and squint, then yeah, maybe Han Solo could be Force sensitive and not know it, maybe Jar Jar Binks is the monster we all knew in our hearts he was and perhaps droids are more than just a collection of circuit boards and wires. I mean probably not but its fun to speculate, especially considering who's gonna stop me? Disney? Pfft. Just because they own to rights to Star Wars doesn't mean I can't though around wild accusations of secret Jedi. Do you have any Star Wara fan theories of your own though? Dimension X, absolutely. Technodrome, you got it. Tyler Perry, sure, why not. Also #BringDatKrang. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out Of The Shadows looks to be finally giving fans of the comics, tv series and movies the characters they want. In addition to Baxter Stockman and a new Casey Jones we're getting an incredibly accurate Bebop and Rocksteady. Yes we once got Tokka and Rahzar but TMNT 2 didn't know what the hell it was doing. Then again, it did have an appearance and original song by the one and only Vanilla Ice. What a fantastic decision. I’m not being sarcastic either, that is treasured piece of cinematic history. Also in the mix is a new Turtle van, members of the Foot Clan that look like actual ninja's and Shredder's return, this time played by one of the first guys to get eaten by the I-Rex in Jurassic World. How he survived that fifty story fall from the last movie is anyone's guess, but yeah, he's back, with a full head of hair. Come to think of it with the amount of recasting this movie does it really feels like a soft reboot. And good for them, they are committed to these hulking monstrosities. Props. And of course what comic book movie would be complete without a hole in the sky opening and something falling through, this time looking to be from Dimension X. And you know what that means. KRANG. Apocalypse origins! The Horsemen! Psylocke! Arcangel! Storm! Cyclops! Jean Grey! Quicksilver’s new scene! Getting Professor X-ed! All things. Director Bryan Singer has stated that this movie aims to be the summation of six X-men films including the first, X2 X-Men United, X-Men The Last Stand, First Class and Days Of Future Past. The Wolverine doesn’t seem to count because it has an old Japanese man in a robot samurai or something and neither does Wolverine Origins because it’s a bad movie for idiots. Regardless! This movie sees the first live action appearance of Apocalypse (who's origin is briefly explained in the video) a classic villain from the comics who appears every thousand years or so to remove most life from the earth in order for only the strongest to survive. As always hey employs four powerful mutants he dubs the Horseman in order to do his bidding this time taking aim and a disenfranchised Magneto, Psylocke, Archangel and a young storm. The X-Men this time around seem to be lead by a young Mystique, again played by Jennifer Lawrence. Seeings as Professor X appears to be a target for Apocalypse, getting Professor X-ed (a term explained in the video) it’s her who must step up and lead Cyclops, Nightcrawler (whom we haven’t seen since X2) and Jean Grey. It’s an exciting time for X-Men films! So much so not everybody is shouting at Fox for not giving the rights back to Marvel. They never will either. Shut-up about it. And this video takes a good hard look at all of them. Doomsdays origin in the comics looks to be very different from what we'll be getting in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice in 2016. For one, he wasn't created by Earth scientist/businessman/madman Lex Luthor. He was an alien baby thrown out onto the ancient and brutal world of Krypton only to be promptly destroyed. He was then cloned, sent back out again where he was destroyed immediately. Again. That happened over and over until he was Doomsday or something. It’s sciene 101. In this versions the Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman Easter Eggs and references indicate that he's a result of retrieved or stolen Kryptonian tech fused with General Zods dead body. Seeings as the scout ship Superman disabled over Metropolis never left the area it’s entirely possible that Lex Luthor was able to get the remnants of the Kryptonian Birthing Matrix going to Frankenstien Zod into Doomsday. Does this mean we'll see a more traditional Doomsday down the line? Does that mean we’ll see the Death Of Superman storyline which sees him killed at the hands of Doomsday like we did in 1992? We’re talking Easter Eggs, deleted scenes and hints towards to the original Star Wars Trilogy, the prequel trilogy, JJ Abrams tropes and some cameo’s you wouldn’t believe (that you’ll probably believe). A lot of Star Wars: The Force Awakens pulls directly from A New Hope including the Starkiller super weapon being pretty much a bigger Death Star, Jedi mind tricks and a hero stranded on a desert planet to just name a few. Then we get into how Finn’s Stormtrooper number harkens back to Princess Leia’s imprisonment, limb loss and how a stack of original Ralph McQuarrie’s concept art informed the look and design of so many elements of The Force Awakens including the new X-Wings and a whole lot of unused material. As mentioned the prequels aren’t entirely left out with hints towards podracing, Jango and Boba Fett, Cloning an army and more. Darth Vader obviously informs a lot about Kylo Renn (he does posess his ashes and helmet after all) but he also has a lot in common with some expanded universe characters including Jacen Solo and Ben Skywalker. There’s so much more though! Links to not only the expanded universe (now not canon) but the new expanded material including the origin of Po Dameron, how Han Solo lost the Falcon and Princess Leia’s flashback to Darth Maul on Naboo. With new red band and green band trailers released let’s take a look at some of the nods to the comics, the X-Men films and other Marvel Easter Eggs that hint at surprise cameo's. So what kind of Easter Eggs are we talking here? There’s quite a bit of of stuff relating to the Weapon X Program, a mutant experimentation initiative that has given us some of the most popular comic book characters of all time, including Wolverine. And speaking off, details leading up to this trailer lead me to believe Hugh Jackman will make a small appearance in the film on top of the two X-Men we see in the film, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus, acting as a mentor for the younger mutant. And although Sony and Marvel have the rights to Spider-man tied up, don’t be surprised if he’s referenced in some way. But also don’t be surprised if he isn’t. There’s no commitment to that on my part. This trailer shows us a whole bunch of other stuff, a hint at Wade Wilson’s wife Vanessa and the powers she might get/already has, a nod to Marrow (a minor mutant)) and a look at how powerful Gina Carano’s character is. In that scene with Angel Dust flattening Colossus and from what we’ve heard from the director she’s apparently very much like the Hulk in the sense the angrier she gets the stronger she gets. SUBSCRIBE HERE ►► http://bit.ly/1IQB3kh Who Is Rey? ► https://goo.gl/pYQlKR Star Wars: The Force Awakens Easter Eggs ► https://goo.gl/NeRt2x The deleted scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens extend beyond what was left on the cutting room floor and go back as far as 2012 when the filmmaking process began. That means there’s a whole lot of unused concept art, two scrapped versions including one by George Lucas and of course what was filmed but didn’t make it into the final film (spoilers). With Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm towards the end of 2012 a number of artists were given the go ahead to create a set of guided imagery that served to get the creative juices flowing. Many of these images can be found in the hard cover book, The Art Of Star Wars The Force Awakens and include a proto Finn and Rey, the first lightsabers and a pony tailed Luke Skywalker looking trapped and forlorn. With Michael Arndt given script writing duties the story began to take shape including the idea that part of the story revolved around searching through the underwater wreckage of the second Death Star in order to find the location of the hidden Jedi temples. Some elements did carry over into the final product, but for the most part Arndt’s Luke Skywalker heavy script was scrapped in favour JJ. Abrams’ and Lawrence Kasdan’s vision. From here on out the movie we saw is pretty much what they came up with, that being said a number of deleted scenes and concepts were left on the cutting room floor including Vader’s helmet being the mcguffin, Han Solo not being dead, a Jedi killer being the main antagonist and a sith imposter claiming to be Anakin Skywalker himself. Speaking of there was the intention of having a Anakin/Vader hybrid ghost appear in the film which never panned out. All this and more is highlight in the video above, so check it out! Or don’t. The Force Awakens Theory ► https://goo.gl/ws7XOL Star Wars: The Force Awakens Deleted Scenes ► https://goo.gl/LFQ2n6 The identity of Supreme Leader Snoke remains shrouded in mystery. Although there are a few clues in Star Wars: The Force Awakens that hint at his origin being Darth Plagueis as mentioned in Revenge Of The Sith whom of which Palpatine thought he killed in his sleep. At this point I’m not 100% on this, in fact his story at the moment may still be in flux. To name a few, Snoke’s musical cues have a lot in common with that of Plagueis’ from the opera scene from Episode III. He also has scars that could be a direct result of force lightning to the face and is said to be old enough to have witnessed the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire. So if Plagueis managed to cheat death and take on this new identity, this all falls in line. Someone as old as he says he is would also have to possess an incredible amount of power to mask himself from the ten thousand or so Jedi that exist in the galaxy. Plus Kylo Ren mentions that the Supreme Leader is wise, and funnily enough Plagueis is referred to as Darth Plagueis the wise. Of course there’s theories that back up the opposite, for one, Andy Serkis mentioned that Snoke is a new character plus there was an idea to make him female at one point. Feel free to speculate in the comments though, that’s what they’re there for! And to get into endless arguments about nothing. Either of those things are fine. That question keeps being asked. Yes I just did a video on this, but there’s been a lot of theories on line about Snoke being a Darth Vader or Anakin that survived past Return Of The Jedi. Though there is a chance this is possible this video highlights all the reasons this is most likely not true. For one Anakin died on the second Death Star and was subsequently burnt by Luke Skywalker on Endor. Not only that we saw that he’d become one with the force, first as actor english thespian and poet Sebastian Shaw then as a scowling Hayden Christensen. Star Wars The Force Awakens solidifies the death of Darth Vader by including his melted Darth Vader helmet and burnt remains in Kylo Ren’s private chambers. It is entirely possible that he was cloned...I guess, but the chosen body seems a little unorthodox. Also Anakin’s redemption marks the end of his story arc that began with his immaculate conception of Tatooine. Maybe other people are seeing something I’m not, but I really can’t see how this could be true, even though they do both have similar facial scars. I don’t doubt Darth Vader/Anakin will appear at some point down the line, either as a ghost or flashback, but yeah, he’s dead. OR IS HE? So I’m gonna do that thing that I normally do including a breakdown of at Easter Eggs, references, things Missed and cameos. This time around we get a better look at the whole team which includes Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Slipknot, Katana, El Diablo, Enchantress Killer, Croc and a surprisingly entertaining Captain Boomerang. It’s been confirmed that Jared Leto’s Joker is separate from the Suicide Squad meaning he may act as the groups antagonist unless you buy into the rumours of Enchantress being the main villain. This trailer also gives us a look at some potential Harley Quinn origins, appearances from Jonny Frost (and possibly Hugo Strange and Deathstroke) in addition to something we haven’t seen in any DC Cinematic Universe, magic. Actually I think Catwoman had magic in it, I dunno, I haven’t seen it. There’s also hints at the occult, monsters we’ve never seen before and more insight into what kind of Joker is going to be showing up in August. We also see Katana’s magicial sword in action and possibly a hint at which Suicide Squad member is going to bite it first. It’s Slipknot by the way. I mean come on, he may as well be called Red Shirt Mc Cannon Fodder. (Rules For Idiots At The Movies) ► https://goo.gl/n8sPrQ Suicide Squad Trailer Breakdown ► https://goo.gl/vLXNJs Some movie trailers over the decades have had the terrible habit of spoiling minor or major plot points that take away from the final film. Sometimes this is done to entice audiences to see what else the movie has to offer and other times it’s done for reasons I can’t quite comprehend. Like how Iron Man was caught by Hulk in The Avengers. I mean come on, awesome scene, why ruin that surprise? WHY? Some trailers have the best intentions not to spoil something but end up giving away plot points, like it was with Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Trek: Into Darkness. But then you’ve got movies that just flat out tell you the entire plot like Michael Bay’s The Island. Or probably the Hitman movies, I dunno, I can’t remember. It’s a fine line to walk and something Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has taken a lot of heat for recently for revealing Doomsday as the third act villain (that trailer isn’t included in this list because as of this video being released the film’s not out yet). It seems to be a lesson that movie studio’s continue not to learn. But what can we do? Nothing! Or we can rise up, as one! AND DESTROY MOVIES ONCE AND FOR ALL. Or just like, not watch trailers. Yes there’s been attempts to solidify his backstory but it always comes down to a big question mark in terms of who the man was before the white face, and the green hair and ridiculous smile. Except for some versions, like the Tim Burton one. He’s just a mobster that looks like Jack Nicholson. This video takes a shot at seven different versions that have appeared over the years in an attempt to flesh out their origin. Ranging from his recount from The Killing Joke (which is soon to be an animated feature) to the female version that appeared in the Flashpoint story arc. Whatever version we get some things always remain the same. White skin, green hair, cunning as a shit house rat (that’s an Australian expression), tactically brilliant and with a fixation on Batman, no matter what incarnation he is. Who knows what versions we’ll be seeing in the future! Also I’d love to know what your favourite incarnation is, Heath Ledger? Mark Hamill? Jack Nicholson? Cesar Romero? But like all movies there are a number of Deadpool scenes left that ended up being deleted including extended joke sequences that will probably end up on a gag reel, crippling insults and things deemed too violent even for this movie. The Deadpool movie also went through a number of drafts that had the inclusion of an alternate set of villainous henchmen, the major action sequences being shaved right down, a PG-13 cut that nobody probably wants to watch and a list of unexpected names on the Dead Pool bar kill list. There was also an extended sequence of Wade Wilson travelling the world in an effort to cure himself of cancer that has a horrific ending, Ajax ending up in jail early on the film after running a human enhancement facility and a visual gag coming at the expense of Deadpool’s forgetfulness and her blindness. That’s not all of course! There’s a stack more in this video as will as more to be revealled over the coming months. So check it out, or don’t. There’s talk of giving Spawn another film, The Wolverine 3 (potentially Old Man Logan) and Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice getting a more violent cut. Is this the right direction for comic book movies? Maybe I dunno. BUT I’LL SAY THIS. It really depends on what kind of comic book movie we’re talking about. The idea should be films shouldn't ape Deadpool but learn a very different lesson from it, namely, just bloody bring something new to the genre by hiring creative people then getting out of the way. As James Gunn mentioned, a lot of similar things were said about Guardians Of The Galaxy after that came out, which is why it looks like we’re getting a handful of films thinking they have to be a ragtag group of wacky misfits (looking at you Star Trek Beyond). What Guardians and Deadpool have in common however is that they’re unique properties that took a risk and that risk paid off. Of course as a result of this we might get the best R Rated Comic Book movie ever, and if you, yeah, great. Regardless, the real lesson here is...I dunno, just make a good movie and then people might see that movie. And I say might because no-one saw Dredd 3D. Check out all the Easter Eggs, References, Things Missed (not six but ten!), as well as a closer look at Spider-man and which Avengers he’ll side with! Team Cap or Team Iron man? As well as that the trailer detail on what turns Black Panther against Bucky, how many people were killed in The Avengers in 2012, Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014 and Avengers Age Of Ultron in 2015. Not the mention the BILLIONS of dollars in property damaged caused. There’s also a mystery marvel character lurking in the background of a few shots, confirmation that Hydra will be heavily involved in the plot with the inclusion of Crossbones and a logo. We also get a Ant-man leaping off a Hawkeye arrow (who’s also rumoured to become giant man) as well as confirmation that Scarlett Witch is powerful enough to subdue The Vision. Which makes sense considering both of their powers stem from the same Infinity Stone. SPIDER-MAN ALSO! IN THIS TRAILER. Let’s break down the new costume! It’s very reminiscent of Alex Ross and Steve Ditko, has a more traditional logo, adjustable white eyes, mechanical web shooters and a belt that presumably holds web refills! Exciting times. Though this probably doesn't extend to the entire line-up of Captain America, Iron man, Bucky, War Machine, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Spider-man, Falcon, Ant-man and...probably someone else. I dunno I've forgotten. Potential spoilers from this point on. A direct result of the full Civil War story is Bucky taking over the mantel of Captain America after he's assassinated in the Death Of Captain America. Considering that the Marvel movies seem to lack any real stakes when it comes to death, killing off Steve Rogers could give the Marvel Cinematic Universe the kick in the arse it needs. Other options include Tony Stark's Iron man, Bucky, Hawkeye, War Machine, though not in that particular order. The fallout from all Marvel movies are spilling over into Civil War, and it seems unlikely with HYDRA present, Bullseye and other factors that things won't go south for the Avengers by the end. Of course all this remains to be seen. Quite literally. Check out all the Easter Eggs and References that link to the Daredevil comics, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, prominent and minor characters and the other Marvel Netflix series. The characters that hint at range from the likes of Iron man, Captain America, Thor and the Hulk to Killdozer. I know right, who is that? It doesn’t matter. But you also gets easter eggs that link Jessica Jones and Luke Cage to Daredevil. A whole lot of prominent Daredevil and Punisher comic moments also occur including that time Daredevil was chain up, given a gun and then forced between shooting The Punisher and The Punisher shooting someone else. There’s also Easter Eggs relating to comic book writer and artist Frank Miller, who has taken part in some of the most iconic Daredevil storylines. We also get a lot of Easter Eggs and References related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe like what the Avengers have been up to, evil corporations, Claire Temple the Night Nurse helping out Luke Cage, Jessica Jones’ vigalanting it up and even someone losing a hand, which is a common Marvel Phase Two trope! Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is packed with all the Easter Eggs and References towards DC Comics, previous DC Comic films, the animated universe and other blockbuster projects. Of course not all could be considered Easter Eggs and References so this video extends to hints, nods, sly winks, vaguely interesting facts and a whole lot more. We kick things off with references to one of the greatest Batman stories of all time, The Dark Knight Returns. There’s a whole lot of imagery, diaglog ripped right from it and scenes that play out practically identically to Batman V Superman’s comic counterpart. There’s also hints towards other comics including The Death Of Superman, A Death In The Family, Superman Peace Of Earth, The Flashpoint Paradox and a whole lot more. There’s also character Easter Eggs referring to The Joker, The Riddler, Vicky Vale, KG Beast, Jimmy Olson, Carol Ferris, Green Lantern, Cyborg, The Flash, Aquaman and Wonder Woman’s origin. As well as what we can expect from future films including the arrival of Darkseid and potentially even Brainiac. Other DC Films are also acknowledged including Batman 1989 (and not just all the murders), Batman Forever, Man Of Steel (obviously), the animated feature Mask Of The Phantasm, Superman The Movie, Superman 2 with this extending to films outside the DC Universe including Star Wars and Zorro. There’s also a lot of Easter Eggs and similarities between this film and the 2003 Cancelled Batman VS Superman film that never got off the ground. You can hear more about that linked below. SUBSCRIBE HERE ►► http://bit.ly/1IQB3kh Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is getting an R-Rated Ultimate Extended Cut this July with the inclusion of Deleted Scenes, characters that didn't make the cut and fleshed out sequences. The idea behind the Batman V Superman movie stemmed out of what was initially to be a straight up Man Of Steel Superman sequel. An Easter Egg at the end of that film involved a crate of kryptonite being delivered to Wayne Manor, then the idea of a Batman appearance couldn't be shaken. After The Dark Knight characters and actors were passed over to return DC and Warner Brothers went about designing a Batman, Lex Luthor, Doomsday and Wonder Woman that would comfortably fit in a universe with Superman. Some of the characters cut include The Joker, The Riddler plus Jenna Malone as Barbara Gordon (rumoured), only one of which we'll see in the ultimate extended cut. In addition to that we'll get longer fight sequences, including the Batman and Superman fight, Batman's warehouse take down and the battle with Doomsday. We'll also be seeing more scenes, including the one recently dubbed "Communion" with Lex Luthor communicating with the Kryptonian ship concerning the upcoming threat of Doomsday. We get hints at his origin story, the accident that leaves his hands like a box of broken matches and his travels around the world in search of a fix. As indicated by the trailer the plot will then shift focus to Stephen Strange’s meeting of The Ancient One and Baron Mordo, classic Doctor Strange characters. We also get Easter Eggs and hints towards some of the magical items he employs (though nothing concrete at this point in time from the trailer) and his powers including astral projection when he gets literally punched from his body. That must be terrifying. We’re not closer to find out who Mads Mikkelsen's character is also, obviously evil but apart from that Marvel have been very vague about his involvement. And of course we get that classic Doctor Strange location, the Sanctum Sanctorum that we’ve seen a lot of in the promo materials. All this and more is broken down in this video! Huzzah. Spoilers by the way. Spoiler alert. This video touches upon a number of similarities between the Civil War comic and the live action adaptation including visual comparisons, the trigger point for the Avengers split, The Raft doubling as Prison 42, Spider-man and his new suit, the Captain America Iron Man fight and more. There's also nods to other Marvel comics such as a Black Panther and Captain America showdown, the Dora Milage, Baron Zemo, Falcon and Redwing, the Vision and his relationship with Scarlet Witch and War Machines accident. There's also parallels to the Iron Man Bleeding Edge Armour, Tony Stark being a Futurist and the obligatory but always welcome Stan Lee cameo. There's also Spider-man Easter Eggs and Reference galore, including John Romita's early art work, the Ultimate Spider-man costume, his origin, his unmasking in the Civil War comic and his logo projector thing as seen in the post credits scene. There's also references to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in spades such as the Hulk being absent, Ant-man beating up Falcon in his movie, Dot from Agent Carter, and the original actor for Thanos showing up as one of Crossbones' henchmen. Without getting into specifics we can't forget the Easter Eggs relating to some of the Russo Brothers TV work including the Dean from Community and the Stair Car from Arrested Development. This includes the likes of missing characters like Bruce Banner and The Hulk, The Wasp, Nick Fury, Pepper Potts and Netflix characters including the likes of Daredevil and Jessica Jones. This also gets into things like different variations of the Spider-man we saw including the black suit version and one with organic shooters, before the John Romita version was settled on. As far as literal deleted scenes there's a few cut jokes here and there as well as trimmed actions sequences, the airport fight sequence being the one most tweaked. So let's explore some as well as Deleted Scenes that didn't make the cut as well as earlier drafts of the film. As far as Easter Eggs go there's quite a few nods to the original William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy series. We some some original tech such as phasers and original transports, some very Shatner-esk winks plus nods to specific episodes such as Who Mourns For Adonais. There's also hints towards JJ Abrams' 2009 Star Trek reboot such as specific musical cues and more aliens than any recent Trek film has introduced. Futurama could also possibly be referred to and there's fitting tributes to the original cast and the passing of both Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin. Concerning deleted scenes this gets into the Roberto Orci version that was scrapped, a same sex kiss between Sulu and his partner plus extended back stories for the Swarm as well as the new character Jaylay (who's also based on Jennifer Lawrences character from Winter's Bone.) Billions of dollars in deals were made between George Lucas and a number of other big brands including Pepsi, Hasbro, Apple, Lego and more covering toys, games, make up, books and comics and a whole lot more.
