Épisode 1 - Episode 1

Si-ra and Min-bo hold their wedding on her graduation day. As part of an experiment at the hospital, Poong-ju and Ki-sik donate their sperm, but their samples get mixed up. With help from Ki-bun, Si-ra gives birth to Marie through IVF, but one day, Min-bo decides to leave for America. Twenty years later, Marie is surprised to learn that Min-bo will be coming to Korea to see her.

Three years after reaching out to her father, Min-bo, for the first time, Marie wants to meet him, but worries about how Si-ra will take it. After finishing her medical licensing exam, Marie, as always, is busy with part-time jobs and side hustles. Concerned, Kang-se suggests that Marie move in with him, even before confessing his feelings for her.

When Si-ra discovers Marie talking to Min-bo, Marie makes a heartfelt confession. Angry at Si-ra, she goes to a graduation party where Kang-se is, and he finally asks Marie how she feels about him. Meanwhile, Ki-bun grows irritated as Ki-sik keeps showing concern for Marie.

Min-bo and Poong-ju, who met by chance on a plane, didn't hit it off from the start. Eventually, Poong-ju bumps into Marie and mistakenly takes Min-bo's suitcase, thinking it's his own. Marie, meeting her father, Min-bo, after a long time, is confused when he offers her the chance to do her residency in the States. Kang-se is anxious, unsure if Marie remembers what happened yesterday. Meanwhile, hearing the news that a new Vice Director will be chosen, Ki-sik takes a bottle of wine to see Ki-bun.

Marie and Soo-sun head to an orphanage for volunteer work. While there, Marie runs into Kang-se. Ki-bun shares her plan with Poon-ju to develop the Sperm Center into the Institute of Reproductive Medicine. When Min-bo turns up at Si-ra's door and suggests that Marie come with him to study in the States, Si-ra is outraged. Marie agonizes over the decision.

Si Ra goes to see Min Bo and warns him not to sway Marie, but is met with criticism from Min Bo. Faced with Si Ra's opposition, Min Bo decides to become a test subject for research and, in return, asks for Ki Bun's help in bringing Marie to the States. On his way out from the Sperm Center, Min Bo runs into Marie, Poong Ju, and Ki Sik. Meanwhile, Marie is worried about Gang Se when she can't get a hold of him.

Marie is late on the first day of her new three-day stint, only to discover she will be working for Poong Ju. On their lunch date, Gang Se opens up to Marie and tells her he was born out of wedlock. As she gets to know him more, Marie finds herself drawn to him. Meanwhile, Ki Sik and Poong Ju have a disagreement when Poong Ju refuses the medication chosen by Ki Sik.

At the same time, Si Ra resolves to marry Deok Gil, gleefully indulging in shopping with Soon Ae using Deok Gil's credit card.
