Rachel met Dorset farm worker Andrew out clubbing six years ago and became an item instantly. Andrew was given the shock diagnosis of bowel cancer and the couple postponed their wedding so that Andrew could have treatment and they faced the possibility that they might not be able to have children. They managed to have a son called Lucas though but another wedding had to be postponed. Andrew learned that his condition was terminal last October and the first thing on his bucket list was to finally marry Rachel which he did in January.
