Woojin est une petite ville de campagne pittoresque. Jamais aucun crime n'est venu troubler la tranquillité de ses habitants, jusqu'à ce qu'un meurtre y soit commis dans des circonstances troublantes. Lorsque son frère cadet est identifié comme suspect dans l'affaire, le détective Oh Jin Seong s'empresse de se joindre à l'enquête. Déterminé à prouver l'innocence de son frère, il travaille d'arrache-pied jusqu'à ce que le véritable coupable soit finalement arrêté et son frère innocenté. Jin Seong acquiert alors une grande notoriété auprès du commissariat de police de Gangnam, impressionné par son travail dans cette affaire. Mais toute la reconnaissance que reçoit le détective n'a plus aucune valeur à ses yeux lorsque son frère est retrouvé mort assassiné. Jin Seong commence à enquêter pour retrouver les responsables. Mais sa recherche de la vérité met en lumière des secrets de famille plus que troublants...
