Le premier de ces documentaires, "Les Camarades 1917/1945" se situe comme antérieure à ce que l'on appellera la Guerre Froide, à savoir l'affrontement absolu entre les Etats-Unis et l'URSS, un affrontement qui fut toujours utilisé par des moyens détournés, un conflit direct étant impossible, les deux pays disposant d'armes nucléaires surpuissantes capables de détruire le monde.
