Zong Yi est un jeune homme de 17 ans assidu à l'école pour conserver sa bourse et ainsi atteindre un jour son rêve, devenir médecin. Seulement, sa vie se retrouve bouleversée quand son chemin croise celui de Ze Rui, un gangster bien plus âgé que lui. Ce dernier étant grièvement blessé et dans une mauvaise situation, Zong Yi doit sous la contrainte le soigner et l'héberger pendant une durée indéterminée. Au début tout les oppose et la cohabitation est difficile mais, à mesure qu'ils apprennent à se connaître, une complicité née, débouchant par la suite sur des sentiments plus profonds. Or, lorsque le milieu hostile dans lequel évolue Ze Rui les rattrape, les conséquences pourraient être irréversibles...
