Karin Maaka est une lycéenne des plus ordinaire du Japon... enfin presque : elle et sa famille sont en fait des vampires qui tentent de se fondre dans le décor sans éveiller les soupçons des habitants de leur ville. Tout serait parfait pour notre apprentie-vampire si l'arrivée d'un nouvel élève, Kenta Usui, ne venait à bouleverser sa vie. Karin perd complètement le contrôle de ses sens quand celui-ci s'approche trop d'elle. Ce qui peut être gênant surtout quand on est une vampire un peu "spéciale"...
