Basé sur le manga Kageki Shoujo!! de Saiki Kumiko. A noter que l'anime adaptera aussi le préquel nommé Kageki Shoujo!! Season Zero. Comme la revue Takarazuka, les jeunes femmes qui étudient au lycée Kouka Kageki interprètent tous les rôles du théâtre musical, qu'ils soient féminins ou masculins. L'histoire nous entraîne dans le quotidien de Narada Ai, une ancienne idol blasée qui interprète des rôles féminins et de Watanabe Sarasa, une campagnarde incarnant des rôles masculins. De l'école à la scène, en passant par leur vie quotidienne, il n'y a aucun défi que ces jeunes femmes ne puissent relever avec leur passion pour la scène. (adkami.com)
