New York City can be an unforgiving place, and in the world of stand-up comedy it's especially tough. Hundreds of unknown comedians go out every night hoping to make an impression and get noticed. Three of these undiscovered comics are preparing to audition for the prestigious and career-making Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. They'll have to hit club after club every night in order to perfect a six-minute set that will impress the judges and give them a chance at fame and fortune.

Our LA and New York stand-up comics have gone through their final auditions for the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. Now their fates rest in the hands of the festival's judges. One by one, the comedians will hear whether or not they've being invited to JFL, and the calls will come when least expected: while they're about to go on stage, at their jobs, at home, even out with friends. How will they react when they hear whether their years of hard work and sacrifice have paid off?

The prestigious Just for Laughs comedy festival has begun. The streets of Montreal are filled with thousands of comedy fans waiting to see famous and soon-to-be famous comedians alike. The New Faces Showcase stage, where our unknown comics will perform, seats 800 people, half of whom will be network execs, agents and other king makers of the comedy world. Our comics, used to performing in small clubs, backyards and coffee shops, are about to perform on the biggest stage of their lives.
