Kaede, une lycéenne ordinaire, tombe dans un monde alternatif avec des hommes-bêtes, des elfes et des dragons. Kaede remarque alors un livre inconnu dans son sac à dos. Le livre expliquait comment faire des potions, et tout ce qu'elle avait à faire était de scander le mot "générer". Kaede était sceptique, mais quand elle l'a essayé, une potion a été créée. Pour elle, qui a été projetée dans un autre monde, c'est devenu son moyen de subsistance de prédilection. En effet, les potions qu'elle fabriquait pouvaient être vendues à un bon prix. Avec l'aide des potions, Kaede vit sa vie dans cet autre monde, tout en espérant retourner un jour dans son monde d'origine. Mais sa vie prend un tout nouveau tournant lorsqu'elle commence finalement à accumuler les rencontres inattendues et à se faire des amis.
