Tom fell through a hatch in the ship's hull, but he wasn't hurt. However, the kids can't find a key or any other clue. Defeated, the three head to reception, where they discover a model of the "Cupido". In the base they find the key to room 13. In the evening, at a big Hawaiian party in the hotel, the opportunity comes: Liv is standing guard, Anna and Tom enter the room.

She talks to Tom about it and both of them realize that they are no longer alone in their search. They have to be even more careful, as Jack in particular is about to catch them. Since the jukebox and thus the mechanism for Room 13 no longer works, Anna, Tom and Liv search for a solution at night. They are discovered by Ruth.

The three secretly go looking again and discover a kind of coin slot in the hallway to room 13, hidden in a lamp. The key chain fits into the slot. They throw it in.

The key chain rolls through a system of gutters and pipes in the wall and triggers the mechanism that brings the room back into view. In room 13, Tom, Anna and Liv examine an old clock whose hands are running backwards and discover a draft of air coming from behind it. The three manage to find a switch in the clock. A passage appears. Behind it is a vaulted, dusty and messy room with a large, complicated machine. What is this strange device all about?

This creates the perfect alibi to disappear from the hotel for a few hours. Richard pretends to believe Tom, Anna and Liv's excuses, but tells his son to follow the three of them and not to lose them under any circumstances!

Ruth runs down the stairs, but it is too late to stop Mr. Rasmussen. She gets hold of Noah. He tells her to wait a bit before calling the police.

Mr. Rasmussen pushes Anna into the cell with Tom and all the historical figures. Tom introduces her to Napoleon, Caesar, Louis XIV and Einstein.

Liv tells Ruth and Lenny what has happened. They run to the bunker and free Tom, Anna, the YB and the historical figures. Then they go back to the hotel to get Richard.
