Father Nelson gives Friar Malthus an ultimatum. Aramel accepts MC's proposal to meet Gabriela. The communists gather and are repressed by the police.

Frei Malthus volta para casa e diz a sua mãe que beijou uma mulher. Hilda decide encontrar Malthus em Santana dos Ferros. Padre Nelson revela a dona Neném que Hilda seduz Malthus.

Neném pede que Hilda deixe o santo em paz. Hilda chega a Santana dos Ferros e vai à casa de Malthus, que recusa recebê-la. Hilda e Malthus se beijam diante do grande crucifixo.

Frei Malthus pede perdão a Deus e Hilda diz que ele não tem vocação para padre. Gabriela elogia Aramel e desperta o interesse do rapaz. Hilda revela na rádio que vai casar.

Hilda procura Madame Janete para saber sobre seu futuro marido. Loló descobre que a neta está grávida e acha que o filho é de Bonfim, que sofre um atentado e é baleado.

Loló e Ventura fazem parecer que quem está grávida é sua filha. Aramel desiste de ser MC e revela não ser quem Gabriela pensa. Roberto e Bela B. se reconciliam e decidem casar.

Aramel recusa levar Gabriela para Tonico Mendes. Gabriela e Aramel fogem e recebem ajuda de Frei Malthus. Loló descobre que Roberto é comunista e expulsa-o de sua casa.
