Corey, 12 ans, rêve de devenir une star du rock. Avec ses meilleurs amis Kin, Kon et Lany, il a monté un groupe de rock dans son garage : Grojband. Mais très vite, ils s’aperçoivent que le succès n’est pas vraiment au rendez-vous. Leur musique est super mais les paroles de Corey ne sont pas géniales. Il n’arrive pas à trouver l’inspiration. Jusqu’au jour où ils mettent la main sur le journal intime de Trina, la grande sœur de Corey. Ils décident alors de s’en servir pour créer les paroles de leurs chansons. Le groupe devient alors très populaire et enchaîne les concerts ! Malheureusement, Trina ne supporte pas que son petit frère attire plus l’attention qu’elle. Et elle ne reculera devant rien pour saboter ses rêves de gloire. Heureusement, Corey lit en sa sœur comme dans un livre ouvert. Et il se rend compte que les textes qu’elle écrit lorsqu’elle est en colère sont encore meilleurs que d’habitude. Corey et son groupe vont alors tout faire pour embêter Trina le plus possible.

Corey's favorite animatronic band, The Bubble Bunch (a parody of Yo Gabba Gabba!) is retiring. Trina decides to destroy the puppet band (along with Corey's inspiration). Corey decides that Grojband should act as a replacement of The Bubble Bunch.
