Grand Designs: Trade Secrets was a spin-off broadcast immediately after the main Channel 4 show each week for series 7 & 8. Acting as a companion piece, it gave hints and tips about building and showed some "behind the scenes" material from the week's show. Trade Secrets series 1, is a companion for Series Seven of Grand Designs, and Trade Secrets series 2 is a companion for Series Eight.
