L’histoire se déroule à l’époque des Trois Royaumes de la Chine ancienne. Tandis que les plus puissants seigneurs de guerre commencent à manœuvrer pour partir à la conquête des royaumes, une unité d’élite qui avait été anéantie dans de mystérieuses circonstances est reconstituée. Désormais, elle est composée de plusieurs membres aux passés particulièrement troubles : Oki, chef et praticien du sceau ; Shunkyo, le purificateur d’esprit ; Teiken et enfin Shorei, un tueur de démons.
