Cha Yo Han est un médecin prometteur et un anesthésiste de génie. Il est le plus jeune professeur de son école de médecine. On le surnomme "10 secondes" car il n'a besoin que de 10 secondes pour comprendre l'état d'un patient. Alors qu'il acquiert sa notoriété grâce à ses compétences exceptionnelles, il est confronté à un patient qui va changer toute sa vie. Gang Si Yeong est une anesthésiste légendaire, toujours en tête des classements tout au long de ses études de médecine et est un médecin au cœur chaleureux. Sa famille exerce la médecine depuis plusieurs générations. Elle tient son talent de sa mère et son empathie de son père. Un jour, elle quitte soudainement l'hôpital. Un an plus tard, elle se rend au pénitencier pour servir en tant que médecin temporaire. Elle y rencontre un prisonnier qui était également médecin. Il a la capacité de saisir l'état d'un patient en 10 secondes. Après l'avoir rencontré, la vie de Si Yeong change complètement.
