In this episode we take a look at the secrets and history of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Majora's Mask first appeared in the media in May 1999, when Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu stated that a long-planned Zelda expansion for the 64DD was underway. This project was tentatively titled "Ura Zelda", and would take Ocarina of Time and alter the levels to be more challenging. Majora's Mask emerged from this project, and was ultimately released as a stand-alone Nintendo 64 title in the year 2000.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was first revealed at the Spike Video Game Awards in December 2012, a teased as "The Phantom Pain", and credited to a new Swedish developer known as Moby Dick Studio. The game was later revealed to be Metal Gear Solid V, developed by Kojima Productions. Metal Gear Solid V is an open world action-adventure stealth video game, and serves as a sequel to Ground Zeroes. Set in 1984, the game follows the mercenary leader Punished "Venom" Snake, aka Big Boss, as he ventures into Afghanistan and the Angola—Zaire border to exact revenge on those who destroyed his forces.

Heroes of Might and Magic is a strategy game series originally created and developed by Jon Van Caneghem through New World Computing. As part of the Might and Magic franchise, the series changed ownership when NWC was acquired by The 3DO Company, and again when 3DO shut down and sold the rights to Ubisoft. The games feature turn-based, fantasy-themed conflicts where players control armies of mythical creatures. The series began in 1995, and the latest game in the series, Might & Magic Heroes VII, is set to release in September 2015.

It was launched in November 2014 in the form of system software updates and a series of Amiibo figurines. These models are similar in form and functionality to the Skylanders and Disney Infinity toy series. As of March 31, 2015, all versions of Nintendogs combined have sold 23.96 million copies worldwide, making it the second best selling DS game behind New Super Mario Bros.

Hit & Run is based on the American animated sitcom The Simpsons, and was heavily inspired by Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series. The game was developed by Radical Entertainment, and was published on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and PC by Vivendi Universal Games. The story and dialogue were crafted by writers from The Simpsons, with all character voices supplied by the actual cast. The game may have sold as many as 7 million copies world wide.

Numerous video games based on the animation have been produced such as Battle for Bikini Bottom, which was eventually added to the PlayStation 2 (PS2) Greatest Hits collection by Sony. It's engine and assets also served as the engine basis for a video game based on the The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. The Nintendo 3DS is a handheld game console by Nintendo, and is the successor to the Nintendo DS (NDS). The system is capable of displaying stereoscopic 3D and has received several revisions such as the Nintendo 3DS XL, the Nintendo 2DS and the New Nintendo 3DS. The console's price was reduced from $249 to $169 amid disappointing launch sales. Nintendo offered free Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Game Boy Advance (GBA) games from the eShop through emulated gameplay to consumers who bought the system at the original launch price. This move paid off, as the Nintendo 3DS systems combined have sold over 60 million units. We hope our analysis of the 3DS explained the inner workings of device and its games.

In this episode of Did You Know Gaming we take a look at some facts, secrets, and Easter eggs in Sega's All-Stars Racing games. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed are kart racing video games in the Sega Superstars series developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sega. The games feature an all-star cast of characters from Sega franchises, including Sonic, Super Monkey Ball, Jet Set Radio and Shenmue, although many more appeared in the games' beta stages, such as Mario from Nintendo's Super Mario Bros fanchise. Transformed even had a surprise guest appearence from Simon "Honeydew" Lan of the YouTube channel Yogscast. The games were widely ported, and appeared on the Nintendo Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Vita, Nintendo DS, 3DS, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X, as well as mobile devices.

The original Bomberman game was published in 1983, but didn't make it to the west until 1985 on Nintendo's NES. In our analysis of the franchise, we sift through several of the game's beta material, and look at cancelled games such as Bomberman for the Nintendo 3DS as well asVirtual Bomberman. Bomberman has appeared in over 70 games on various consoles inclusing the NES, Super Nintendo (SNES), Nintendo 64 (N64), GameCube, Wii, PlayStation (PS1) and Xbox 360. With the reveal of Red Dead Redemption 2, DidYouKnowGaming decides to take a look at some of the facts, history and Easter eggs of Read Dead! Red Dead Redemption was developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. It was released for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Xbox 360, and is the sequel to 2004's Red Dead Revolver. In our analysis of the series, we find that the beta of Revolver was originally being spearheded by Capcom, and that the series gameplay could have been very different. The series has sold well, shipping over 14 million copies, which rivaled the sales of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series.

With the recent release of Pokemon Sun and Moon, Did You Know Gaming decides to look at some Easter eggs, facts, secrets, and history of Pokémon Stadium. The Pokemon Stadium games are Pokemon spin-offs for the Nintendo 64 that retain the series' core RPG gameplay. The first Stadium game was released in 1999 in Japan, and 2000 in North America, Australia and Europe. Although this is the first Stadium title in Western regions, it's actually a sequel to the 1998 Nintendo 64 game Pocket Monsters Stadium, which was only released in Japan. Through our analysis, we show that this Japane exclusive was intended to be released for the 64DD during its beta, and how the spin-off's surfing Pikachu and Raichu inspired the alolan Raichu design. Pokemon Stadium 2 was released in English-speaking regions in 2000 in Japan, and 2001 elsewhere, and focused on the second Pokemon generations. All three games allowed connectivity with the Game Boy Pokemon games, such as Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal (though the latter three were only compatible with Stadium 2).

Ganon, also known as Ganondorf, has been with The Legend of Zelda since its inception. Ganon became more relateable when he was given a more human form, which has been present in everything from Ocarina of Time to Super Smash Bros Melee (ssbm). In our analysis of the character's history, the series lore, and beta zelda games, we discovered that Ocarina was once planned to be more like Super Mario 64, and that Ganon's monologue at the end of Twilight Princess was going to be much longer.

Wolfenstein 3D was developed by id Software and was inspired by the 1981 video game Castle Wolfenstein. In Wolfenstein 3D, the player assumes the role of William "B.J." Blazkowicz during World War II as he escapes from Castle Wolfenstein. Wolfenstein 3D was the second major release by id Software, after the Commander Keen series. The company decided to shift from the family-friendly Keen to a more violent theme for their games, with programmer John Romero suggesting they remake the 1981 stealth shooter Castle Wolfenstein as an action game. The game was designed to be fast and violent, unlike other computer games on the market. Wolfenstein 3D sold over 200,000 copies by the end of 1993, and is widely regarded as having helped popularize the first-person shooter genre. The game also saw success on home consoles such as the Super Nintendo (SNES). The games would later receive and update in the form of Pokemon Crystal.
