Because from this moment his transformation from mortal to bloodsucker begins. In order to prevent this, he must be at Igor's unconditional service as an Upir: his new tasks include both disposing of corpses and providing support in love affairs.

Eddie is bitten by vampire Igor during a house inspection to become an upir. Upirs undergo the transformation to vampires in thirty days, and during this time Eddie must serve his master. The first task for Eddie is to dispose of the body of the real estate agent Solbach.
