But outside of Asia it isn’t very well known. What is Buddhism? Who was the Buddha? What do Buddhists Believe? Thats what we’ll find out in this episode of Cogito. We will learn about the life of the Buddha. The 4 Noble truths that he taught will be explained. The way to Nirvana, the Noble Eightfold Path will also be explained. Have you ever wondered what’s the difference between Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism. There used to be barbed wire, soldiers, and checkpoints along this 500km border. Bombs, bodies, and balaclavas were common sights and this squiggly line of the map caused 30 years of sectarian violence. But why is there an Irish border? Why is Ireland divided?
