Aux côtés de Jigoku-san, également surnommé « l’émissaire de l’enfer », douze esprits mystérieux se déplacent librement dans le monde des humains. Leur but ici-bas : transformer la Terre en un véritable enfer ! Afin de mener à bien leur projet, ces esprits, qui se font appeler Chimimo, décident de s’installer dans la maison de trois sœurs : Mutsumi, Hatsuki et Mei, tout en cachant leur véritable objectif. L’histoire suit le quotidien de ces étranges créatures et de trois sœurs aux caractères bien trempés ! Les chimimos parviendront-ils à accomplir leur mission ?
