Eight-year-old Zeynep, who is a victim of domestic violence, is taken to the Ali Kaan Hope House, managed by Mahir Boztepe. The little girl who seperated from her mother for the first time had innocent dreams that her mother would come and get her in a few days, yet she is not yet aware that the truth is so painful that her tiny heart will be torn apart. She does not like the manager of the House of Hope, and hates her roommate Mavi from the first moment. Little Zeynep must face the brutality of the real world in order for her to realize that the House of hope she is trying to get rid of is the only thing protecting her from the brutal outside world and that Mavi, with who she is constantly fighting with, is more than a sister.

It is not easy for little Zeynep to forget her mother and abandon her. Even though she promised Mavi to forget her scent, her shadow, and even though she is trying to remove her from deep down inside her heart she reads a letter totally by mistake that arrives to her rescue. A letter that Ayşegül forgot in the kitchen among some other paperwork, a letter from a family who has applied to adopt a child, a letter that they wrote to a little girl, this letter hurts little Zeynep's heart deeply. A letter that has entered Zeynep's life, that has helped her start to maybe try to forget her mother; but whether she will be able to accomplish this only time will tell. Just as everything seems to be on the right path, the ghosts of the past arrive at a moment that no one expected to turn the lives of these children upside down.

Bambi's dream of a sweet family life come to a shattering end when the truth regarding this little girls past comes to the surface. The little lies that Mavi told with every good intention of the heart really makes matters wrose, and solving this problem once again falls on the shoulders of Mahir, Ayşegül and Mavi. However the real story of Bambi's past is even more painful than anyone could have imagined. Everyone bonds heavily around Bambi; however with the arrival of an unexpected guest at the orphanage has an explosive effect at the Ali Kaan Umut Evi.

A young girl Nene, who started life with unlucky circumstances, who has spent all of her years to date living at the Ali Kaan Umut Evi Orphanage, moved out with the hope of being loved; however she now returned totally upset and frustrated. Just to be able to receive a tiny bit of love and affection she turned back from the wrong path that she was on, however no one knows about this yet. Mahir on one hand continues to spread his arms and be the wings of protection for the children, while on the other hand he is still trying to heal the wounds of his own past. Mahir's past will be realized by someone at the orphanage who is going to come face to face with it at a totally unexpected moment.

After all of these years Mahir and Gülay have come face to face. After this confrontation both of them have to deal with the wounds from many years ago which were buried deep down inside. In order to deal with his wounds, Mahir decides to concentrate on finding a new family for Dodo. Ayşegül can clearly see that Mahir is acting strange and she tries to get him to open up and talk about his problems. Mavi is very curious as to what the relationship was between Mahir and Gülay, so Nene tries to help in finding out by starting to work for Gülay. Meanwhile Mavi starts to come up with a variety of ideas to try and help Zeynep get over her longing for her mother.

Seeing Mahir once again after all of these years only makes Gülay's anger towards him ignite one more time. As Gülay cannot seem to be going on with her life, she sees Mahir as a man who has forgotten about her and their son and moved on and started a new life. Gülay makes the decision to erase Mahir completely from her life, however the news that she has been waiting for all of these years suddenly arrives. Hayalet's good intentions of trying to save a pregnant women from an abusive husband, turns into huge problems for her. As Mahir tries to save her, a totally simple abuse situation turns totally out of control and for both Hayalet and Mahir the dark secrets of the past, as well as the deep pains of the past come to the surface and become totally exposed. For Mahir, Ayşegül and Mavi nothing is ever going to be the same again.

Before Ayşegül and Mahir have a chance to absorb what just happened, they receive news that Mavi has a high fever and they immediately run to the orphanage. The little girl was diagnosed with the mumps, and with the high fever she is constantly calling out for her father not to leave her. Mahir is very much touched by Mavi cries, so he does not leave her at the orphanage and also keeping the other children in mind decides to take her to Ayşegül's house to care for her. While Ayşegül, Mahir and Mavi suddenly feel like a loving family; Gülay in total secret from her husband heads out on a journey with a child who claims to be her son. The journey which begins innocently, has a huge mystery behind it and this mystery is going to turn the lives of not only Gülay and Mahir but also the lives of Ayşegül and Mavi upside down.

The sweet dream for Mahir and Gülay being reunited with their son after eight years ends when the game being played with the child and the mother that raise him comes to the surface, turning this dream into a nightmare. While the wounds for the past eight years have never healed, the path the they took during this struggle for their son now brings Mahir to a serious crossroad in his life. This path where he has chosen to be a father to his son, turn Mavi's innocent dreams upside down, and he has no idea that he is dragging this little girls life in the wrong direction.

Mavi who now believes that she will never be Mahir's daughter, leaves in secret and goes to her teacher's house leaving everyone at the orphanage very concerned. Even though Ayşegül needs Mahir's help at the orphanage, Gülay needs Mahir at home. Mahir is stuck between having to make a very difficult decision, between leaving for Mavi or staying for Ali Kaan. Ayşegül is forced to make a decision regarding Mavi all by herself, and the decision that she makes is going to effect everyone's life. It is obvious that Demet is gong to return at any moment and find Ali Kaan.

When Mahir learns that Demet has taken Ali Kaan and left he immediately starts to go after them. However will Ali Kaan choose to go with his father when he tries to separate him from Demet? Lale returns after being abandoned, so she comes back to the orphanage to take Zeynep back but Ayşegül starts to immediately speed things up in order to assign Zeynep to a foster home and start the adoption proceedings in order to insure her safety. However Hakan notices that he can use Zeynep for his own advantages. This situation puts everyone in the chain who is trying to protect Zeynep in a very dangerous position...

While trying to save Zeynep, Mahir put himself in danger and now he is in critical condition. Ayşegül who on one hand is trying to save Zeynep and on the other hand trying to save Mahir; shady relatives of Mavi show up at the orphanage to try and take Mavi away from there. Demet sees this as an opportunity to take Ali Kaan and run away. Gülay with her acts of jealousy prevents Ayşegül from being able to protect Mavi. Mavi's only hope now is her seriously wounded father Mahir who is laying in the hospital...
