Épisode 1 - Pilot

Olivia Lockhart est juge dans la petite ville de Cedar Cove. Son ami, le sénateur Rayman, lui annonce qu'elle est en lice pour remplacer le juge Bloom et devenir juge fédéral. Jack Griffith, nouveau rédacteur en chef du journal local, assiste à une audience au cours de laquelle Olivia doit juger un divorce. Il se présente à elle et tombe sous le charme de la jolie juge. Pour mieux la connaître, il l'invite à diner. Justine, la fille d'Olivia, travaille comme serveuse dans un café et fabrique quelques bijoux en parallèle. Elle fréquente Warren, un promoteur plus âgé qu'elle, qu'Olivia apprécie peu. Mais Seth, son petit ami du lycée, refait surface et ne la laisse pas indifférente. Olivia est sur le point de réaliser son rêve de toujours, mais tant de souvenirs la rattachent à Cedar Cove que le choix du départ est très difficile...
