The temporarily suspended police officer Hanne Wilhelmsen is on a train from Stockholm on the way to Narvik when a snowstorm and avalanche forces her and the other passengers on the train to seek shelter in an old isolated mountain hotel located nearby. It doesn't take long before mysterious murders start happening at the hotel and despite his suspension, Hanne takes it upon himself to get to the bottom of what happened. The doctor Magnus desperately wants to protect his teenage daughter and her friends, and becomes Hanne's pillar of support.

On a trip to Narvik, suspended homicide investigator Hanne Wilhelmsen from Stockholm is involved in a train accident and ends up with the other survivors in a snowy mountain hotel on the Norwegian border. A suspected murder presents her with a dilemma – should she wait for the Norwegian police to get to the hotel or defy all rules and start an investigation herself?

The storm shows no signs of abating and Hanne reluctantly begins to realize that she is the one who must solve the cases. While Magnus is completely convinced that the NMR gang is the culprit, Hanne sees beyond the most obvious. Adrian feels pressure from all sides and seeks to escape.
