Kim Ji Hyeok est un homme ayant vécu sans parents et mené sa vie en étant constamment traité avec mépris. Un jour, il fait la rencontre de Hong Dal Suk, gérante d'un petit restaurant dans un marché traditionnel. Aussitôt, il la considère comme sa propre mère et décide de prendre en main sa vie en travaillant dur afin d'ouvrir son propre magasin au sein de ce marché. Cependant, Ji Hyeok découvre qu'il est en réalité le fils caché d'une famille aisée possédant la plus grande entreprise coréenne : la compagnie Hyunsung. Réalisant aussi qu'il a été évincé pour des intentions peu nobles, celui-ci fera dès lors tout pour prendre sa revanche sur les hommes de cette compagnie, jusqu'au jour où il rencontre So Mi Ra dont il tombe follement amoureux.
