Ten ordinary cooks compete in challenges to make, say, their ultimate pasta dinner, or the best dish they can rustle up using pears. This season, the "Britain" prefix has been dropped. The show is hosted by Mary Berry and Claudia Winkleman. They are joined by Chris Bavin (from Eat Well for Less?) and new judge Angela Hartnett, who brings a little Michelin-starred-cheffy grit. In this episode, the ten home cooks prepare their ultimate pasta dinners and rustle up a fruit dish before the weakest cooks face judge Angela Hartnett’s tricky eliminator recipe.
