Épisode 1 - The Electrical Brain
15 avril 1943 - 3.5/5
Batman and Robin nab the last two members of the Collins Gang. Batman ties them to a street lamp and places a call to Captain Arnold of the Gotham City police department. Arnold and several officers arrive on the scene to arrest the men, but Batman and Robin are long gone. The thugs bear Batman's mark upon their foreheads. Later, Batman and Robin arrive at the Gotham City Foundation in their civilian identities of Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson. Bruce flirts with foundation secretary Linda Page and plays up the role of a lazy playboy. When Linda leaves the room, Dick asks him if he shouldn't just tell Linda the truth about his double life. Bruce doesn't want to take the risk that Linda would be receptive to such dangerous knowledge. When Linda returns, she asks Bruce and Dick to escort her to the Gotham City prison to pick up her uncle, Martin Warren, who is scheduled to be released today. Meanwhile, two mobsters named Fletcher and Foster arrive at the prison to pick up Martin. He tells them that he is waiting for his niece to pick him up, but they insist on taking him instead. As they drive down the highway, they pass Linda's car. Linda sees her uncle and they quickly turn around to follow the other car. The thugs get a good lead on them and quickly disguise their vehicle with an instrument that automatically changes the car's license plate and color. By doing so, they easily avoid Linda and Bruce's detection. The mobsters drive to the Little Tokyo district, whereupon they enter the Japanese Cave of Horrors amusement park ride. They take Martin Warren onto one of the cars, which brings them underground to the secret laboratory of the scientist Doctor Tito Daka. Doctor Daka has put together an organization of like-minded Americans who have been "dishonored" by the country's sense of democracy. Aligning with Daka, they seek to establish a New World Order in which Imperial Japan will rule the world. To facilitate this plan, Daka has invented an electrical brain, which turns normal men into obedient zombie servants. He has also developed a destructive ray gun powered by radium. This technology will enable his New World Order to become the most dominant power in the world. In order to mass produce these weapons, he requires more quantities of radium to power them. The doctor needs information from Martin Warren concerning the location of a supply of radium. Martin refuses to comply, but Daka uses a truth serum to get the information he needs. He learns that the radium is located inside a vault at the Gotham City Foundation and sends three of his men, Foster, Fletcher and the zombified Doctor Hayden, into the city to acquire it. Fletcher, Foster and Hayden enter the main offices of the Gotham City Foundation. From outside, Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson see the three suspicious men enter the building. They decide to investigate further as Batman and Robin. Inside, the thugs encounter Linda Page and hold her captive until their assignment is completed. Foster uses the radium gun to blow the safe and steal eight grams of radium. One of the foundation staff members, Doctor Gordon, enters the room and the thugs take care of him before affecting their escape. They toss the bag of radium down a laundry chute, then make it to the roof of the building where they encounter Batman and Robin. Foster takes several shots at them with the radium gun, but the Dynamic Duo manage to tumble out of the way. The battle gets up close and personal and the opposing sides begin swapping punches. On the street below, the getaway driver recovers the radium, then radios Doctor Daka about the fight taking place on the roof. Doctor Daka uses his electronic command signal and orders his servant Doctor Hayden to step off the roof of the building. After beating Robin down, Foster and Fletcher tackle Batman. They drive him to the edge of the building and push him over the ledge. Batman begins falling to his doom.

Une série qu'il faut absolument remettre dans son contexte car il y a beaucoup de clichés mais c'est évidemment lié à son époque, peu de choses intére...
