Tian Yao est blessé, aussi bien dans sa chair que dans son cœur. Le dragon a été démembré par la femme qu’il aimait et ses os dispersés un peu partout. Par chance, son âme s'étant échappée, Tian Yao a pu s’approprier le corps d’un jeune homme décédé. Un jour, il rencontre Yan Hui, qui possède l’une de ses écailles de dragon. Tian Yao y voit là une opportunité de retrouver les autres parties de son corps et lui demande son aide. Yan Hui tente de s’enfuir, mais se rend compte que, malgré ses efforts, l’univers semble vouloir les rapprocher à tout prix.
