The life of Carlos is altered when his father, the republic's anti-corruption prosecutor, is found dead. The life of Adán, the son of Carlos' family bodyguard, is also disturbed by popular riots against the construction of a new airport endorsed by Carlos' stepfather. Friends from childhood, despite their social differences, they will be forced to face the changing circumstances of their lives.

Pía goes back to Mexico disrupting Rocha's plans. Adán hides at Carlos's house from his enemies. Carlos finds a new clue during his inquiry while The Bird talks Rocha into finishing off the only loose end regarding the death of Orlando.

Rocha wins the party's primaries and is appointed as presidential candidate while Adán has to cope with an unexpected death. Carlos finds the smoking gun that confirms all his suspicions about his father's death.

Rocha knows that Carlos is after him and decides to act accordingly. Adán, Carlos, Elisa and América meet again at Rufino's memorial service. Each carrying their own guilts and truths and facing a more than uncertain future ahead of them.
